Chief Physician for the Inpatient Ward, Psychiatry in Slagelse

We are seeking a chief physician for one of our inpatient wards in Psychiatry West, Slagelse.

In addition, the position may include supervisory tasks in connection with younger doctors' further education (KBU, I, A/P and H‑doctors) as well as teaching duties both mono-disciplinary and interdisciplinary.

You will become part of Psychiatry West at Midt- and Vestsjællands Hospital

An organization in development with about 520 employees. In Vest there are main functions for adults over 17 years within acute reception, inpatient and outpatient functions. Psychiatry West also has specialized functions in the treatment of affective conditions, traumatized refugees, PTSD and oligophrenia. We have a Fusion Clinic/Steno diabetes-psychiatry unit and work especially closely with Holbæk and Slagelse hospitals.

Psychiatry West has its own research unit with a professor in clinical pharmacology and several PhD students. In addition, we participate in a number of projects intended to ensure closer cooperation with our municipalities and police. We work purposefully to reduce the use of coercion and here collaboration with somatics is also important. Our wish is for a psychiatry focused on recovery, patient and network involvement, high professionalism, ethics and education.

In addition, the aim is to create the best possible learning environments for our various training programs for doctors, nurses, social and health care assistants etc., as well as to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for patients and staff.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is under the chief physician agreement, 37 hours per week. There is a possibility to participate in shifts for the position.

Employment area

Starting salary for union employees

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. Besides the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
