Chief Physician for the Oligophrenia Team, Psychiatry Ringsted

We are seeking a senior consultant (chief physician) for the Oligophrenia Team

The Oligophrenia Team in Region Zealand is an outreach team based in Ringsted, where you will also have your office. Your closest collaborative partner will be the designated nurse with whom you work closely. In addition to patient contact you will also have substantial contact with patients' relatives and staff at residential homes in this position.

Your tasks will primarily consist of advising, evaluating and treating oligophrenia patients. You will have a high degree of freedom to plan and carry out your tasks yourself, and there is the possibility of one home-working day per week.

On a daily basis you will be part of the social interaction with other colleagues in outreach teams, as there is also a FACT team on site in Ringsted.

We are seeking a senior consultant with the following attributes

• A desire to delve into the evaluation and treatment of oligophrenia patients
• A desire to plan your day yourself
• Independence, clinical judgment and the necessary overview to organize patient pathways
• A tolerant/empathetic attitude towards patients and colleagues and strong collaborative skills
• Experience with research and quality work is welcome

You will become part of Psychiatry West under Midt- and Vestsjællands Hospital

An organization in development with approximately 520 employees. In the West region there are main functions for adults over 17 years within acute admission, daytime, and outpatient functions. Psychiatry West also has special functions within treatment of affective disorders, traumatized refugees, PTSD and oligophrenia. We have a Fusion Clinic/Steno diabetes-psychiatry unit and work especially closely with Holbæk and Slagelse hospitals.

Psychiatry West has its own research unit with a professor in clinical pharmacology and several PhD students. In addition, we participate in several projects to ensure closer collaboration with our municipalities and police. We work purposefully to reduce the use of coercion, and cooperation with somatic care is also important. Our aim is a psychiatry focused on recovery, patient involvement and networks, high professional standards, ethics and education.

In addition, there is a goal to create the best possible learning environments for our various training programs for doctors, nurses, social and health assistants, etc., and to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for patients and staff.

Employment terms

The position is full-time and without night shifts unless otherwise requested.

The position falls under the collective agreement: Senior physician; if you want to see the starting salary. A reference check is carried out in connection with the recruitment in Psychiatry.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Interviews are held on an ongoing basis.

Starting salary for employees under collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
