Daycare Provider

We are seeking a day care provider in Narsarsuaq, is it you who is interested in the position?

Municipality Kujalleq places our close work with children on the development of children through creativity and innovation, and therefore we are seeking someone with experience in creative work with children.

Work and responsibilities

You shall be co-responsible for fulfilling the Inatsisartut Act on pedagogically developing offers to children in pre-school age no. 62 of 20 November 2023.

• Childcare
• Maintain a close collaboration with the child’s guardians and work based on the child’s current situation.
• Plan daily activities for the children
• Ensure child files, MIIM 3 and MIIM 5.

Expectations of you

• A pedagogical education or similar is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• That you are proactive and can take responsibility.
• That you are willing to engage in pedagogical discussions about our work.
• That you can set boundaries with regard to children.

We offer

• Salary and employment terms, including the right to travel for relocation and housing relocation in connection with starting and moving, in accordance with the applicable agreements and collective agreements between Naalakkersuisut and your bargaining organization.
• Staff housing for a deputy chief and educator, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules.

Criminal and Child Background Check

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child background checks. In accordance with the law, employment may only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child background checks. We therefore note that the start date can only be agreed once the municipality has received the child background check from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child background check is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the person concerned, where the criminal record is obtained by the person from the Police.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) or another relevant bargaining organization.

Start date: To be agreed with the applicant

Employment will take place with a 3-month probationary period

Housing

There may be staff housing allocated to the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in Greenland Self-Government and municipal properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be provided immediately at start, temporary vacant housing will be offered to employees with the right to vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above.

A relocation travel and household effects move will be provided in accordance with current rules.
