The municipal day care of Ikast-Brande Municipality is seeking day carers to work in their own homes in Højderyggen.

Being a day carer is a job where you

• Work with 4 children and sometimes a maximum of 5 children in your own home
• Can plan your day yourself. Most days it is you who decides how the day should look: Should you go on a trip, to the garden, cuddle/play indoors, bake buns? You decide based on what the children are ready for on that day
• Make a difference for the youngest children. You can be the adult who means something special for the child, and you can be the one who advises and supports the parents
• Create safe environments and close relationships with small children. With the same 4 children every day you gain a strong bond with each child
• Can have your own child under 3 years at home in your own day care. If you have younger children, or plan another child, you can choose to have your own child at home until they turn 3. Your own child then counts as one of your 4 children

You are never alone

• You join a professional day care team with your colleagues. The day care carers have strong communities with other day carers. You get fixed colleagues you meet with, both in the playroom but also on the playground, in the garden and on the walk
• The day care consultant is your nearest supervisor, and provides supervision and individual sparring. We are at most one phone call away from you, but come out to you and look at the children's well-being and support you in your work
• You are supported by the day care's resource team, which steps in and collaborates with you if you have children with special needs
• You join in full-day playgroup with your colleagues and participate in joint activities
• In our day care we place a high value on continuing education. You are offered an intro course, basic and further training aimed at the day care profession.
• There is an opportunity to become an educational assistant

It is also possible to apply as a couple who wish to work together as a double day care with 8 children in their own home. We already have several men employed as day carers, and several double day carers with whom you can share a community.
