The day care service in Svendborg Municipality is seeking day-care providers on Tåsinge, within the Tåsinge School district.

Start date is 14.12.2026 or by agreement. Beginning in a practical training program and then reception of children in your own home from 04.01.2027

The job

As a day-care provider you primarily work in your own home with 4 children aged 0-3 years, and at times you may also receive a guest child. You will be employed for 48 hours per week – and the working hours will follow the needs of the children and parents. But you will have more time off, as you accrue compensatory time off.

You will become part of a day-care team, where you are divided into small groups that meet in full-day playrooms. Here you work with shared pedagogical activities and sparring with colleagues as well as the pedagogical team leader. The playrooms are located in the local area, and you meet about 2-4 times a month.

Before you start receiving children in the day-care home, you will undergo an introductory program of about 14 days, where you will be introduced to the framework for day-care work and come in as an trainee with your colleagues.

As a day-care provider you are covered by the Daycare Act provisions regarding pedagogical curricula as well as the daycare sectore Vision, Mission and Shared Pedagogical Principles. In addition, we work with a Common Professional Direction.

Salary - Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with FOA and KL.

In Svendborg Municipality, the pay for this type of position typically lies between 34,033 and 43,290 DKK per month for full-time employment. The pay includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special remunerations. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and is negotiated with the relevant trade union.

The HR department will obtain a criminal record check and a child safety check for the applicant, the applicants spouse and resident children over 15 years. It is a condition of employment that the criminal record check and child safety checks are satisfactory for the position. The assessment is conducted by the Legal Office in cooperation with the Director of Children and Youth.
