About us

Establishment – and Terrain Command delivers and develops the physical framework for the military operational units and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence. This includes everything from maintenance of buildings and grounds, sleeping quarters for the soldiers, desks for offices, food in canteens and cleaning.

You will become part of a small team that every day helps to ensure good conditions for students, employees and guests at the Sergeant School.

About the Navy Sergeant School

The Navy Sergeant School is located in the scenic Bangsbo, in the southern part of Frederikshavn. The Sergeant School is part of the Royal Danish Navy Officers’ School and the Defence Academy. Approximately 800 students pass through the school annually across several different programs.

About the position

As a service assistant you will be an important part of daily life at the Sergeant School in Bangsbo. You will help create clean and well-functioning surroundings for the school’s employees, students and guests.

Your primary tasks are to

• Perform daily and periodic cleaning
• Order cleaning agents and other consumables
• Handle laundry
• Train new colleagues and contribute to the team’s joint tasks
• Carry out self-inspection and ensure high quality in task execution

You will be part of a team of six employees, where we place a high value on collaboration, helpfulness and quality. The position is 37 hours per week with a fixed workplace in Frederikshavn. Working hours are primarily between 06.00 and 16.00, and there may occasionally be work on public holidays. We offer attractive employment terms, including a pension scheme and paid lunch break.

About you

We would like you to be trained as a service assistant, or have experience with cleaning. The most important is that you want to learn and contribute to the community. Of course, we will provide thorough training.

In addition, we would like you to speak, read and understand Danish.

Your colleagues value you for your constructive dialogue with colleagues. Additionally you have a good sense of humor, even when we are busy.

You are service-minded and flexible, and you are good at overseeing your tasks.

Terms of employment

The employment is governed by the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The State Sector (OAO-S Collective Agreement) and the Organizational Agreement for cleaning assistants, sanitarians, semi-skilled workers and certain other trained personnel in the state, etc. (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating allowances. The position includes an employer-funded pension scheme.

The workplace is in Frederikshavn.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence area, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security-cleared and maintain the clearance throughout the employment period.

As an employee you have a duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including with units in international operations with the aim of participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

The Establishment- and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and services military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to deliver and develop attractive physical frameworks that are necessary for their daily work.
