About the job

Would you like to help develop psychiatric nursing – and make a difference for both patients and colleagues?

We are seeking two clinical nurse specialists for a staff function close to department management. It is an opportunity for you who are passionate about high professionalism, development and teaching – and who thrive on translating knowledge, research and good ideas into practice.

With us you will play a central role in supporting and developing nursing at the Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans. You will become part of a strong professional team where there is room for independence, sparring and new perspectives.

An intellectually stimulating everyday life in two specialties

The Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans is part of Amager and Hvidovre Hospital, and handles two specialties: dual-diagnosis treatment and forensic psychiatry.

Both departments work with cognitive behavioral therapy and Fundamentals of Care, which are integrated into the approach to patients and into the departments’ culture. We work from a holistic view of the person.

In Department M you will meet patients with dual-diagnosis issues, where treatment courses last up to three months and are planned based on a patient journey description.

In Department R you hold the regional function for forensic psychiatry in the Capital Region. Here you receive patients where the mental illness and the legal measure are complex and require special expertise.

This gives you a daily life with professional variety, specialized issues and the opportunity to bring your skills into play across the organization.

You will have the opportunity to make your professional mark

As a clinical nurse specialist you will be part of an engaged and professionally strong team of four nurses. Together you work to strengthen the quality and development of nursing at Sct. Hans.

You will have an independent role, where you help plan and prioritize your tasks in close dialogue with colleagues and management. Your work is closely connected to clinical daily life, so your efforts can be felt where they make a difference.

An important part of the job is teaching and competence development. Among other things you will plan and implement training in forensic psychiatry, dual-diagnosis treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy skills training.

Your main tasks

  • Support that nursing is evidence-based and grounded in Fundamentals of Care, best practice as well as applicable guidelines and instructions.
  • Support the implementation of new standards and contribute to high-quality nursing documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing in close collaboration with department management, unit leaders and the clinical nurse specialists in the unit.
  • Plan and conduct teaching and other competence-building activities.
  • Contribute to competence development in areas including Fundamentals of Care, motivational interviewing, cognitive environmental therapy, skills training and specialized care and treatment.
  • Assist in a good and professionally strong introduction of new employees.

Here you will get more than a job

Independence with close professional sparring

You will have freedom to plan and coordinate your tasks and your working hours together with your colleagues and management. At the same time you will be part of a team where we prioritize professional sparring and actively use each other’s competencies.

We invest in you

You will receive a thorough and tailored introduction and training. We offer relevant courses so you are well equipped for the role and can develop your competencies in line with the organization’s needs.

An environment with high professionalism

At Sct. Hans we prioritize professional development and a good working environment highly. We respect each other’s professionalism, share knowledge and are happy to be inspired when others do something well.

We imagine that you...

  • have high professional ambitions – both for yourself and the organization.
  • thrive in multidisciplinary and cross-sector collaborations.
  • are a confident and engaging communicator and would like to teach.
  • can facilitate good learning processes and meet others with a motivating and appreciative approach.
  • create momentum and follow up on your tasks.
  • are curious about professional development, education and new research.
  • have experience with implementation processes or want to develop yourself in the area.

Your qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse with a minimum of five years of experience. It is advantageous if you have experience from psychiatry and preferably forensic psychiatry and/or dual-diagnosis. Teaching experience is also an advantage.

You have a relevant academic degree at the master or MSc level.

It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavior therapy as well as familiarity with the framework Fundamentals of Care.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is 37 hours per week and is primarily daytime. There may be occasional evening arrangements where we expect you to participate.

The position is intended to be filled by December 1, 2026 or by agreement.

You will be employed under the collective agreement for non-executive staff in the Health Collective area and the agreement for clinical nurse specialists with a master’s degree. You are during the employment covered by the applicable working time rules agreed between the Regions’ Payroll and Tariff Board and the Danish Nurses’ Organization.
