A little about us: RCØ is one of three respiratory centers in Denmark. The department is divided into two units that work closely together – Day Clinic/ Supervisory function and the Ward.
RCØ is a highly specialized specialty with 1700 patients attached. We receive children and adults who, among other things, suffer from rare and chronic respiratory handicaps. Around 210 of these patients are home ventilator users with an attached respiratory care team that monitors and treats at home by delegation from RCØ in the patient2s own home.
The Day Clinic and Supervisory function has its core task in ensuring
- Interdisciplinary and independent consultations regarding the patient2s respiratory treatment, both in person and telemedicine.
- Ambulatory visits at home, at other hospitals and institutions.
- Education and guidance for patients, relatives, municipalities and respiratory assistants.
- Initiation of treatment at other hospitals.
