About the job

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer for our Infrastructure team, where you will play a central role in operation and further development of EWII's Azure platform.

You will work with both day-to-day operations and long-term improvements of our cloud environment. The role spans from automation and platform engineering to governance, cost management and security.

You will in the position, among other things, work with

• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code with Bicep and Terraform
• CI/CD processes and platform automation in Azure DevOps
• API Management, Azure App Services and Storage Accounts
• Governance, standardization and security in the cloud environment
• Identity and access management
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Backup, restore and disaster recovery
• Cost Management including reservations, right-sizing and ongoing optimization of consumption
• Implementation of new cloud services and technologies

In addition, you will also have the opportunity to develop competencies within

• Azure Firewall and Azure Front Door
• Azure SQL
• Databricks

The position requires that you can obtain security clearance.

Join IT Operations

The position is located in Infrastructure, which is part of Operations. Operations encompasses both Infrastructure and Service Desk, and we work closely together to ensure stable platforms for the entire business.

We are about 12 people in Infrastructure and cover, among others, SecOps, on-premises infrastructure, Azure cloud, Endpoint Management and GIS. At the same time we are part of a total IT organization of about 70 employees with skills in development, integrations, architecture, security and data. In the Cloud team you will have 2 capable colleagues.

Who are you?

You are likely coming from a role in an IT department or from the consulting industry, where you have gained broad experience with Microsoft Azure.

We imagine that you

• have solid practical experience with the Azure platform
• have worked with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation
• understand the principles behind cloud governance, security and compliance
• work in a structured manner and take responsibility for stable solutions
• are curious about new technologies and platform possibilities
• thrive on collaboration and knowledge sharing

Certifications in Azure are an advantage, but not a requirement.
