About the job

There is a lot one can write in a job advertisement. We would rather invite you inside.

Come and feel the atmosphere, experience our facilities, meet employees and citizens - and hear what we stand for, and what we are collectively developing both professionally and organizationally.

When: Wednesday, 21 October 2026 from 16:00 to 18:00

Where: The Siriusparken holistic offering, Siriusvej 10, 4500 Nykøbing Sjælland

Registration: Send a text message with your name and number of participants to 23806502 no later than 19 October 2026

Who: All curious people are welcome - also without applying for a position

An afternoon where you can experience us in practice

We open the doors to everyone who is curious about our workplace. You do not need to have decided in advance to apply. Perhaps you are a student, experienced, educated in another field - or perhaps you know someone who should experience us.

In the afternoon you can move from our five residential units through the sensory garden and along the path to our social and activity offerings at Thorshøj. Here we have six large activity rooms, including a sensory room, a music room, a tumble room and a craft room.

You will meet staff, key people and citizens, hear about our development journey and gain practical insights into, among other things, professional approaches and methods. You can also experience our music therapist in interaction with some of our fantastic citizens.

We end the afternoon with something hot to drink in our bonfire hut in the sensory garden, where there will be an opportunity for an informal chat with some of us who are already part of Siriusparken.

Maybe there is also a place for you

We are seeking different colleagues

We are looking for colleagues who want to contribute to our work community and ongoing professional and organizational development:

  • Permanent positions and maternity-leave substitutes with different hours and the possibility to work every second or every third weekend.
  • Permanent study- and weekend jobs with shifts every other weekend and the possibility to supplement with more shifts.
  • On-call substitutes, who among other things support our professional Tuesdays and step in during holidays and illness.

Perhaps you are newly graduated or an experienced social educator, PAU, SSA, SSH, psychomotor therapist or occupational therapist. Maybe you are a student, or perhaps you have in other ways built relevant experiences and competencies that can be brought into play together with us.

We do not seek one specific type of colleague. The most important thing is that you are curious about the citizen's perspective and can see yourself in a work community where we help each other, reflect on our practice and hold fast to the common professional direction.

A holistic service - in more than one sense

The Siriusparken holistic offering consists of a residential block with 30 homes spread over five housing units, as well as our social and activity offerings. We work across disciplines because the citizen's life is not divided into organizational boxes. Knowledge, agreements and professional approaches must hang together around each individual citizen.

With us you become part of an interdisciplinary staff group where different educations, experiences and competencies are brought into play around the common core task.

Our professional direction is set - and must be felt

We work, among other things, with neuro-pedagogy, neuro profiles, Low Arousal, ICT and nonverbal communication. Professionalism must be recognizable in the meeting with the citizen, in our documentation and in the way we collaborate.

Many of the citizens need support to maintain or restore calm and balance in their nervous system. Therefore you must be able to maintain your own calm, work systematically, create predictability and be curious about the citizen's perspective, reactions and communication.

We know that no one can know everything

Therefore we train key persons in, among other things, ICT and nonverbal communication, neuroprofiles and documentation practices. The key persons meet in professional groups and are responsible for disseminating and supporting the implementation of relevant knowledge and practice in the individual teams as well as in our social and activity offerings.

The music therapist is also a special professional resource, who through music and interaction supports the citizens' communication, participation, relationships and well-being.

Professionalism, community and opportunities

Professional development is part of the job

Our professional Tuesdays create space for supervision, learning workshops, team meetings, staff meetings, meetings in key-person groups as well as documentation and other professional work.

As a new employee you will be assigned a mentor, introduced to day- and evening shifts and invited to one of our four annual onboarding days. The temporary staff participate in three- to four annual on-call meetings with instruction in professional practice, documentation and relevant workflows.

As a temp worker you are not just the one covering a vacant shift. You help create stability for the citizens and enable the permanent staff to participate in the shared professional development.

Our wish list

  • Relevant education, experience or other competencies that can be brought into play with us.
  • Curiosity about neuro-pedagogy, neuro profiles, Low Arousal, ICT and nonverbal communication.
  • Ability to observe and reflect on one's own and others' practice.
  • Ability - or a desire - to learn to document professionally, accurately and usable.
  • Loyalty to shared professional decisions, visiting plans and agreements.
  • A desire for a working community where we both help and professionally challenge each other.

If you cannot check all of it yet, but you want to learn and develop with us, we would still love to hear from you.

How to apply

You can apply digitally through Odsherred Municipality's recruitment system as usual. If you participate in the open professional afternoon, you can also fill out and submit a short application form on the day. We will subsequently ensure that it is registered as your application. You are, of course, also welcome to apply if you do not participate in the afternoon.
