Do you want to lead district heating projects and at the same time drive customer development, bids and growth in a market with great potential in and around Aarhus?

In Aarhus we have ambitions to strengthen our local presence. Therefore we are seeking a project manager who can both deliver high-quality projects and help initiate the office and the market in and around Aarhus – in close collaboration with management and the rest of the organization.

We work with a broad portfolio of civil engineering projects, ranging from smaller expansion tasks in existing district heating areas to larger construction projects with new supply areas. You will become part of a strong professional environment with cross-disciplinary collaboration and opportunities for professional sparring.

Additionally, you will enter into a close partnership with an established project manager in the organization. Together you shall develop the market, create structure in the bid and delivery work, and ensure that the Aarhus office becomes an even stronger focal point for district heating tasks in Western Denmark.

About the role

As a project manager you will be responsible for leading project teams both within the department and across the business areas. Your primary focus will be planning and management of entire projects or sub-projects within larger cross-disciplinary projects, as well as coordination and communication with stakeholders and clients. In addition, you will handle commercial interests.

The role has a strong local market and relationship focus: You will be a driving force in expanding our pipeline, strengthening customer relationships and converting opportunities into concrete bids and projects – while ensuring progress in deliveries.

Your main tasks will be

• Initiate and develop the local district heating market in and around Aarhus through proactive customer work, partnerships and bidding processes.
• Daily management of the projects and the project team, including co-responsibility for financial and contractual aspects.
• Coordination of supervision, project follow-up and time management.
• Maintaining healthy collaborative environments on the project and in the project team.
• Drive customer dialogue and stakeholder management with a focus on clear communication and expectation alignment.

We imagine that you

• Have solid experience with project management/ or project manager roles in district heating or other utility projects. Depending on experience, interest and competencies; possibly also construction management and project management
• Have commercial understanding and a desire to work with sales, bids and development of customer relationships.
• Have experience in managing time, finances, quality and risks.
• Communicate confidently with clients and other stakeholders and can drive processes with many interfaces.
• Thrives in a cross-disciplinary environment and is good at involving specialist knowledge in projects.
• Are keen to be a visible, proactive and steady driving force in building our presence in the Aarhus area.
