About the job

Commissioning Lead – take responsibility for technical installations worldwide

Plant Supervision is seeking on behalf of System TM a Commissioning Lead , who will have technical responsibility for commissioning and start-up of advanced, customized production facilities – from the first tests in Odder to SAT and handover to customers around the world.

System TM is one of the world’s leading suppliers of automated solutions for the wood industry and works with highly integrated plants where mechanical, electrical, automation and software must work together.

The Role

As Commissioning Lead you will have responsibility for the plant/system and become the technical key person throughout the commissioning process. You will work closely with the PLC/software, engineering and installation team at the customer and ensure that the plant is delivered safely and in a structured way all the way to SAT and handover.

You will, among other things

  • plan and drive the commissioning of the plant
  • coordinate functional tests, ramp-up and technical troubleshooting
  • work closely with PLC/software and engineering
  • follow the plant from testing at System TM in Odder to start-up at the customer
  • conduct SAT and training of the customer’s operators
  • be System TM's technical face to the outside in your area

Who are you?

You have a strong technical background – e.g. as a machine engineer, automation/electrical technician, service technician or similar – and you have an understanding of automation and PLC.

You thrive with responsibility, technical problem solving and freedom to make things happen yourself. Experience with commissioning, automated plants or technical service is a clear advantage. The role requires cross-disciplinary understanding of mechanics, electrical and automation. Danish and English at a high level and a driving license.

The World as the Workplace

You should expect approximately 100–140 travel days per year , typically in periods of 2–4 weeks at a time.

You will get a role where you don’t just see the plant in a drawing – you are part of making it work in reality and hand it over to the customer when production is running.

You will become part of a strong technical environment based at System TM in Odder and have the opportunity to work with advanced automated solutions at customers around the world.
