Committed and skilled Danish teacher for a maternity leave cover

Løjtegårdsskolen seeks an engaged and skilled Danish teacher as of December 1, 2026. The position is a maternity leave replacement for 30 hours.

You will be the Danish teacher for the 3rd year. If you can also teach English and visual arts, that would be really good

Løjtegårdsskolen has 806 happy and energetic students from 0nd to 9th grade spread over 3-4 streams, 60 teaching colleagues and 50 pedagogues, all of whom are collaborative, capable and engaged. We are a public school located in the sweet spot between nature and the city, with a wealth of opportunities for your teaching planning.

The school has a strong collegial spirit and a high professional level. We are organized in phase, year-group and subject teams. We work with a focus on well-being and variation in teaching, and we consider good-parent cooperation a prerequisite for the development of the students.

We are a green school, which besides working with green and sustainable topics also works with democracy and citizenship. Both are driven through our environmental council and student council.

We work with the digital learning platform MinUddannelse and we are moving towards professional learning communities that shall create a larger foundation for professional sparring and reflection.

Salary and terms of employment

The employment is according to the applicable agreement with the Danish Teachers’ Central Organisation after negotiations.

The municipality’s employment policy entails that references from previous and current workplaces are obtained upon appointment. If you have been employed in Tårnby Municipality, a reference will always be taken from there. In addition, a criminal record check and a child-safety certificate must be presented upon appointment. The employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
