About the job
Do you have experience with communication and social media? Can you create graphics or videos that make people stop scrolling in the feed? And would you like to be behind the camera or in front of it when the good story needs to be told? Then you might be the person we are looking for for our two-year project appointment as a communications officer.
We are looking for a communications officer with a strong eye for social media, who can help bring stories, offers and projects to life for primary education – especially on digital platforms.
The position is split between the Center for Educational Materials (CFU), the School and Learning department at the Copenhagen Metropolitan University College (KP) and CFU Denmark, which is the national collaboration between the country’s six CFU centers.
A daily life close to school, teaching and continuing education
CFU works to support, supplement and develop good teaching in primary education. We do this, among other things, through teaching materials, guidance, courses, conferences and development projects.
The School and Learning department in the Institute for Lifelong Learning works with continuing and further education as well as competence development for primary education. This means that you will work with communication about various content for teacher-targeted audiences and across departments in both CFU and KP.
One day you will tell teachers about a new course or a teaching resource on mitCFU.dk, where they can borrow books, stream films and TV programs completely free of charge and find other teaching materials for their teaching. The next day you will make a video from a conference, find the good story in a national project or develop content that will get relevant audiences interested in continuing education. Therefore, you must be able to see opportunities in the professional material and translate it into communication that is relevant, engaging and easy to approach.
Your main tasks
Your primary task for CFU will be to create and adapt content for social media. The tasks in the School and Learning department will be to communicate about specific agendas in the school sector and to create visibility for our projects and education on social media.
Your tasks will include
- Produce and adapt content for especially Facebook and Instagram
- Brainstorm and develop ideas together with communications colleagues, consultants and teachers
- Find good stories among courses, teaching materials, projects, conferences and other activities
- Record and edit videos for social media
- Write engaging texts tailored to different target groups and platforms
- Help produce graphics and visual content, e.g., in Canva or Adobe Express
- Keep up to date with current agendas in the school, education and continuing education areas and spot opportunities for relevant content
- Assist with ongoing planning, publishing and coordination of content via an annual content plan that you prepare
- Contribute to campaigns and communication efforts from idea to publication
- Keep track of what works, and use data and experience to qualify the content
- Set up advertisements on social media
You will not only be the one who gets content to stand on a Facebook page. We are looking for you who want to help find the story, develop the idea and get the content fully out there.
About you
We imagine that you have a relevant higher education, for example in communication, journalism, media, marketing or similar. You may be newly graduated and have a couple of years of experience in communication and also social media.
We place particular emphasis on the following
- Competence within social media and digital communication
- Experience producing videos for social media, e.g., professionally, from part-time jobs, internships, volunteer work or own channels

- Creative and eager to contribute ideas
- Sensitivity to visual content and experience with e.g. Canva and video editing
- Structured and takes responsibility for your tasks
- Curious and eager to delve into new and sometimes complex topics
