About the job

We are looking for new colleagues for our guard team in the Danish Defence Intelligence and Security Agency's Communications Center Copenhagen. Here you sit in the digital engine room and ensure that important communication reaches its destination – quickly, securely and accurately. It is not just "a position". It is a function that binds the entire Defence together – nationally and internationally.

What is the job about?

You will become part of a team that has around-the-clock duty and that works with classified communication systems and military networks.

You will monitor, send and receive critical information between ministries, Defence authorities, agencies and embassies.

It is here that you can feel that your work has real significance – every single day.

You must be able to write and communicate clearly in writing in both Danish and English.

Who are you?

  • You thrive on taking responsibility.
  • You may have experience as a radio, console or O-space operator – or from another technical emergency function.
  • You do not necessarily have to be passionate about IT – but you are curious, and you want to learn.
  • You work well both alone and with others, and you understand that precision and reliability are essential.
  • You can operate in both Danish and English, and you are ready to attend courses in Denmark and abroad.

We take care of the rest

You do not need to be an expert from the start. We train you continuously – both in Copenhagen and via national and NATO courses. You also learn everything through "on the job training", and we thoroughly prepare you to solve the tasks.

What can you expect?

  • Shift work with a stable rotation.
  • Opportunity for further education and development.
  • A position at the front line of the Defence's digital infrastructure.
  • To become part of a section where the good collegial community is highly prioritized and where we safeguard the good working environment and the strong camaraderie.

Employment terms

Note the position is advertised both civically and militarily.

The employment is carried out in accordance with the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Collective Agreement) and the Organizational Agreement for office functionaries, laboratory technicians and IT workers (HK) in the state.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating additional pay. There is an employer-financed pension scheme tied to the position.

The workplace is in Copenhagen

As an employee under the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the entire employment.

You have as an employee the duty to render service outside the country’s borders, including units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

Contact and application

If you want to hear more about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of COMMCEN KBH OS Ralph Aa. Ryding at email [email protected] or phone 7284 0611 or mobile 2167 5498.

If you have questions about salary and terms of employment you are welcome to contact Personnel Command, HR Consultant Sofie Gadegaard at phone 3266 5585.

The application deadline is 1 November 2026 and interviews are expected to be held thereafter. The position is to be filled by agreement.

You apply for the position via the link, and we ask you to attach a cover letter, CV and copy of educational certificate. Please note that attachments must be added in PDF format.

In the Defence Ministry's organization we believe that diversity optimizes task solving. Therefore we encourage all interested regardless of background to apply.
