About the job

Do you have a broad interest in culture, a sharp pen and an eye for visual communication? Are you thorough, responsible and proficient with InDesign? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for at Strandberg Publishing, where you can help communicate and create some of Denmark's most beautiful and current books.

What can you expect?

As a communications intern you will be part of a small, dedicated team of editors and project managers as well as a wide network of associated freelancers. You will gain insight into both the publisher's communications and editorial work.

Your tasks

  • Write outreach/communication texts, including press releases and newsletter texts
  • Layout press releases and invitations to receptions in InDesign
  • Assist with layout of material for our sales tour in InDesign
  • Take responsibility for the publisher's newsletter, mailed out once a month
  • Handle editorial tasks such as proofreading and preparation of indices

Your profile

  • You are currently pursuing a relevant education in, e.g., communications, language, journalism, media studies, visual communication or graphic design
  • You are proficient in InDesign and have a sense for graphic layout
  • You have strong language skills and are well expressed in both Danish and English
  • You are thorough, independent and responsible and have good collaboration skills

We have an office in Gyldendal's headquarters in the historic buildings in Klareboderne in the heart of Copenhagen. Here you will have the opportunity to experience daily life in Denmark's oldest publishing house and become part of a large and inspiring professional environment with many different editorial departments and functions.

Practical information

The internship is unpaid, and you must be pursuing a degree that confers credit. We imagine you can work 20-25 hours per week spread over three days in the period 09:00-17:00 depending on your study program.

Start in January or February 2027.

Application deadline: 30 October 2026. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to send your application and CV now. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact project manager Claudia Rebecca Juul Kassentoft at [email protected].

We look forward to hearing from you!

Department: Gyldendal Forlag, Nonfiction - Strandberg
