Community-building team leader with a pedagogical background for PPR Hjørring Municipality

We are seeking a community-building and presence-focused team leader for a dedicated PPR undergoing change, one who together with us will create new small bubbles of dreams, hope and happiness in child communities and with children, youths and families.

PPR is in a movement towards reorganizing our practice to be more community-focused, preventive and practice-participating. We shall work even more closely with children's everyday life in kindergartens and schools and contribute to the development of the pedagogical learning environments. We are driven by promoting diverse and developing child communities in kindergartens and schools as well as children's and youths' life mastery.

It only succeeds with inclusion of child perspectives and in the strong adult community, where durable solutions are developed when professional knowledge is linked with pedagogical practice and cross-professional collaboration.

The task

You will be staff- and professional-leader for the group of speech-hearing consultants, pedagogical and social-educational staff and the physiotherapy/occupational therapy team.

Together with your team-leader counterpart you will share responsibility for leading the cross-disciplinary PPR teams with a focus on a holistic and coordinated task solving, where interdisciplinarity is used effectively.

One of your prioritized tasks will be to implement and continue developing a new model for our absenteeism effort and team, which matches the coming new rules around absence and promotes preventive and early interventions in close collaboration with the schools.

You will play a key role in leading and implementing the restructuring of PPR practice to be more community-oriented, preventive and practice-participating. It requires developing new competencies for all and the courage to trial new practices in close collaboration with our kindergartens, schools and other partners. For the speech-language PPR task there are also changes, which require that you together with staff concretely shift part of the practice to take place in the children's everyday life in the kindergartens together with the pedagogical staff.

We expect that you

• Have a solid professional background relevant to PPR work.
• Experience working with children and young people and insight into PPR.
• Can see yourself working with a basis in Hjørring Municipality's leadership framework and the Children and Job Market area values.
• Have leadership experience or a desire to lead and willingness to complete a diploma in leadership.

About us

PPR and SSP are organized in an ambitious and coherent Children and Family area, which is part of the overall Children and Employment/Work Market Administration in Hjørring Municipality. The staff are decentralized with offices at Hjørring municipality's schools and Amtmandstoften. Once a week the individual teams meet and regularly everyone meets for joint meetings for the whole department. The department counts around 40 staff with a diversity of professions.

Recruitment interviews and personality profile

• 1st interview will be held Monday, 9 November
• There will be use of a personality profile prior to the 2nd interview.

Feedback in connection with the personality profile will take place week 46 - early week 47

• 2nd interview will be held Thursday, 19 November
• The interview will include a case, which is sent in before the interview.
