About the job

Community-building team leader with psychology background for PPR Hjørring Municipality

We are seeking a community-building and present team leader for a dedicated PPR in transformation. One who, together with us, will create new small bubbles of dreams, hope and happiness in children's communities and with children, youths and families.

PPR is in a movement to restructure our practice to be more community-focused, preventive, and practice-participating. We shall work even closer to children's everyday life in daycare facilities and schools and contribute to the development of the pedagogical learning environments. We are driven by promoting diverse and developing child communities in daycares and schools as well as the lives of children and young people, mastered through life.

This succeeds only with involving children's perspectives and in the strong adult community, where durable solutions are developed when professional knowledge is linked with pedagogical practice and cross-professional collaboration.

We offer a workplace where

  • We view success as something we create together. Therefore we become skilled at working collaboratively and in teams as a professional learning community, where the breadth of our professional backgrounds is effectively utilized.
  • The culture is learning-oriented and reflected, among other things, in feedback as an important part of practice. There is a high degree of flexibility and trust, created by mutual commitment and a shared focus on our core task: ”Together we create development, learning and well-being”
  • There is speed, large variation in tasks and broad tasks with many interests. Retention and strengthening of a healthy working environment and psychological safety are therefore a shared priority.
  • The management team is a learning and development space, where, in addition to coordinating and developing the PPR task, we also prioritize developing our leadership. We value the ability to lead across tasks so that employees experience a coherent PPR leadership.

The task

You will be personnel- and professionally leader for the group of psychologists and the Easily Accessible treatment offer.

Together with your team-leader counterpart you will have responsibility for leading the cross-disciplinary PPR teams with a focus on a holistic and coordinated task solution, where interdisciplinarity is used effectively.

One of your prioritized tasks is to continue robust operation and development of our Easily Accessible treatment offer including implementing expansion of the service and strengthening the link to development of the learning environments in the school.

You will play a key role in leading and implementing the restructuring of PPR practice to be more community-oriented, preventive and practice-participating. It requires developing new competencies for everyone and the courage to test new practices in close collaboration with our daycare facilities, schools and other partners. At the same time, cross-sector collaboration around psychiatry occupies a significant part of the task and here there is a need for leadership that can support the psychologists' work in this field.

We expect that you

  • Are a licensed psychologist, preferably with clinical psychology training (clinical psychologist).
  • Have experience in working with children and young people and insight into PPR.
  • Can see yourself working with a basis in Hjørring Municipality's leadership framework and the Children and Labour Market area's values.
  • Have experience with leadership or a desire for leadership and willingness to complete a diploma in leadership.

We need your approach to be characterized by

  • A resource-oriented and systemic view of childhood where involving the child's perspectives in solutions is essential.
  • A positively contagious and open attitude in a complex work field and that you can stay in the complexity without losing footing and decisiveness – while creating stable anchors for employees in a busy everyday life with high emotional expectations.
  • Aiming to seek out and build strong partnerships with our collaborators in schools and daycare and others and, through perseverance, create joint results. You insist on collaboration – even when it can be difficult.
  • A willingness to engage in developing your leadership and being proactive about feedback regardless of whether you have long leadership experience or are just starting your journey

Our wishes for your professional leadership and personnel leadership

  • You are driven by success through and with the employees and thrive in working closely with the operation of our tasks with a focus on robust operation and development of the tasks. You prioritize creating developmental learning spaces for employees.
  • Available and present leadership that meets employees with trust and curiosity and at the same time can challenge and support professional development. You have the ability to move close in the complex cases with a need for leadership.
  • Translate and implement strategies and principles into concrete practice and actions that make a concrete positive difference for children and young people and create results.
  • You can maintain an overview and create clear frameworks and direction for the tasks while supporting and following up. You manage to help create structure and prioritize in a daily life with pressure, driven by curiosity about the different perspectives.
  • You support and maintain a culture and behavior in the employee group that supports our purpose, focus and priorities. Your communication is clear, explicit and solution-oriented where there is sometimes alignment of many opposing interests and paradoxes
