About the job
We are seeking a community-building and presence-focused team leader for a dedicated PPR in transition. One who, together with us, will create new small bubbles of dreams, hope and happiness in child communities and with children, youths and families.
PPR is moving toward restructuring our practice to be more community-focused, preventive and practice-participatory. We must work even closer to children's everyday life in early childhood services and schools and contribute to the development of the pedagogical learning environments. We are driven by promoting diverse and developing child communities in early childhood services and schools as well as the lives of children and young people and their resilience.
This succeeds only with the inclusion of the child’s perspectives and in the strong adult community, where durable solutions are developed when professional knowledge is connected with pedagogical practice and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
We offer a workplace where
- We consider success something we create together. Therefore we become skilled at working as co-leaders and in a team-based, professional learning community where the breadth of our expertise is effectively leveraged.
- The culture is learning-oriented and reflected, among other things, in feedback as an important part of practice. There is a high degree of flexibility and trust, created by mutual commitment and a shared focus on our core task: “Together we create development, learning and well-being”
- There is pace, a wide variation of tasks and broad responsibilities with many interests. Retention and strengthening of a healthy work environment and psychological safety are therefore a shared priority.
- The management team is a learning and development space where, in addition to coordinating and developing the PPR task, we also prioritize developing our leadership. We value the ability to lead across tasks so that employees experience a coherent PPR leadership.
The task
You will be the personnel and professional leader for the group of psychologists and the Easily Accessible treatment offer.
Together with your team-leader partner you will share responsibility for leading the cross-disciplinary PPR teams with a focus on a holistic and coordinated task-solving, where interdisciplinarity is used effectively.
One of your prioritized tasks is to continue robust operation and development of our Easily Accessible treatment offer, including implementing an expansion of the offer and strengthening the link to the development of learning environments in the school.
You will play a key role in leading and implementing the restructuring of PPR practice toward a more community-oriented, preventive and practice-participatory approach. It requires developing new competences for everyone and the courage to test new practices in close collaboration with our kindergartens, schools and other partners. At the same time, cross-sector collaboration around psychiatry is a significant part of the task and here there is a need for leadership that can support the psychologists’ work in this field.
We expect that you
- Are a psychologist with authorization, preferably with practicum education (clinical psychologist).
- Have experience with working with children and young people and insight into PPR.
- Can see yourself working with a starting point in the Municipality of Hjørring’s leadership framework and the values of the Children and Labour Market area.
- Have experience with leadership or a desire for leadership and willingness to complete a diploma in leadership.
We expect your approach to be characterized by
- A resource-oriented and systemic view of children where including the child’s perspectives in solutions is essential.
- A positively contagious and open demeanor in a complex working field and the ability to remain in complexity without losing footing and initiative – while simultaneously creating stable anchors for employees in a busy daily life with high emotional expectations.
- Aiming to seek out and build strong partnerships with our collaborators in school and early childhood services and others, and through perseverance create common results. You insist on collaboration – even when it can be difficult.
- A willingness to engage in developing your leadership and being proactive about feedback whether you have long leadership experience or are just starting your journey
Our wishes for your professional leadership and personnel leadership
- You are driven to succeed through and with the staff and thrive in working closely with the operations of our tasks with a focus on robust operation and development of the tasks. You prioritize creating developmental learning spaces for the staff.
- Available and present leadership that meets staff with trust and curiosity while being able to challenge and support professional development. You have the ability to move close to in complex cases requiring leadership.
- Translate and implement strategies and principles into concrete practice and actions that make a concrete positive difference for children and young people and create results.
- You can maintain an overview and create clear frames and direction for the tasks while supporting and following up. You are able to help create structure and prioritize in a busy day with pressure, driven by curiosity about different perspectives.
- You support and uphold a culture and behavior in the staff group that sustains our purpose, focus and priorities. Your communication is clear, direct and solution-focused where there are sometimes many conflicting interests and paradoxes
