Companion sought for a resident in Roskilde

Would you like to make a concrete difference for another person and at the same time get a flexible part-time job?

We are seeking a companion to a citizen in Roskilde. As a companion, your most important task is to support the citizen in participating in self-chosen activities outside the home, thereby contributing to an active and independent life.

About the citizen

The citizen is a 58-year-old man.

The citizen is looking for a companion with whom they can create good experiences and get out into the outdoors. He enjoys going down to his kayak and visiting the warm-water pool - in addition, cozy walks with his Labrador dogs are also a regular part of everyday life.

The citizen values a companion who is calm, present, and thrives in a 1:1 relationship. You should be keen to be a stable support and at the same time contribute with good humor and positive energy. Flexibility and openness are important qualities — and you should be keen on both quiet moments and small experiences outside the home.

Tasks

The companionship may include, among other things

• Walking and excursions
• Café and culture visits
• Social activities
• Kayak
• Warm-water pool

The activities are arranged with the citizen on an ongoing basis.

About you

• Is reliable and responsible
• Is good at building secure relationships
• Respects the citizen's wishes and self-determination
• Wants to support a person in an active leisure life

It is not a requirement to have a specific education or experience. The most important is the right personal chemistry and interest in the task.

Working hours

The position is about 15 hours per month.

Hours are planned in collaboration with the citizen and can be on weekdays and weekends.

• Ongoing support and sparring from LOBPA
• The position is part-time and remunerated according to the applicable collective agreement
• The citizen covers all expenses related to the companionship
• Employment takes place through LOBPA in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the citizen's own home (FOA and Danish Employers)
