Have you got the desire to make a difference – not only for the individual citizen, but also for your colleagues' professional development?
Then perhaps you are the one we are seeking as a competence-developing nurse in District Karup.
Who are we?
Home care and Everyday Rehabilitation in District Karup, Viborg Municipality, is a workplace where professionalism, presence and co-determination go hand in hand.
We are part of the welfare agreement work in the elderly care area, which gives us the opportunity to think differently, create more flexibility and help to free bureaucracy. Here you get the opportunity for real influence on the development of our workplace and the way we solve tasks.
We focus on welfare technology and use, among other things, screen solutions, so some citizens can have their visits completely or partially via screen.
You will become part of a diverse staff group with skilled and engaged colleagues across ages, personalities and professional backgrounds. With us there is room for diversity, professional curiosity and a good laugh in everyday life.
About the job
As a competence-developing nurse you will have a central role in strengthening the nursing quality across the district.
You work closely with management and help set direction, translate requirements into practice and ensure that quality is not just something we talk about – but something we do.
You will be the driving force behind competence development, quality assurance and implementation of new procedures. You work practically, systematically and data-based and support that employees have the right competencies to deliver high quality and create security for citizens.
Your main tasks
- plan and implement citizen-centered competence development for nurses, social and health care assistants, social and health helpers, unskilled and other relevant professional groups.
- conduct systematic reflection processes based on concrete citizen visits
- accompany staff in practice for at least three hours daily and create learning through reflection, feedback and professional sparring
- ensure high professional quality and compliance with current legislation with particular focus on documentation and patient safety
Support employees' professional development with a basis in
- professional profiles
- the nursing actions catalogue
- individual competence forms
- contribute to a psychologically safe learning culture, professional pride and well-being
- work closely with the district manager, team leaders and the duty planner on planning competence development and teaching in the team.
- contribute to journal and medication audit as well as other professional improvement initiatives
- ensure coherence between documentation practice and the health professional task execution in collaboration with the documentation coordinator.
- a central role in implementing the new health reform
We are looking for a nurse who
- has strong nursing professional competencies and a desire to develop others
- thrives in practice-based learning situations
- has good communication and reflection skills
- can create trust and psychological safety in the learning space
- works independently, structured and systematic
- has a focus on quality, patient safety and professional improvement
- has good collaboration skills and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment
- maintains an overview and works holistically
- wants to help develop both employees and the organization
- familiarity with Nexus is an advantage but not a requirement.
If you have experience with teaching, clinical supervision, learning processes or quality development, that is an advantage – but not a prerequisite. The most important is that you want to make a difference and can translate your professional knowledge into learning in practice.
We offer
- a new and meaningful role where you have the opportunity to influence competence development in the district
- a strong professional environment with a focus on quality, well-being and learning
- an employer where collaboration, integrity and professionalism are highly valued
- great opportunities to work practically and follow development closely with the employees
- good opportunities for sparring with the municipality's other competence-developing nurses
- a day-to-day life with the possibility of both independence and close collaboration with management and colleagues
Working hours and employment
You will be responsible for competence development across all shifts, day and evening. Therefore expect that part of your working time is outside the ordinary day shift.
The position is 20 hours per week. The remaining hours by agreement may be in care or in another relevant special function.
You report to the district manager and work closely with the team leader.
By default, work is scheduled on weekdays with weekends off. However you should expect to be able to step in as a substitute in the nursing group during holidays and long-term illness.
Do you want to join?
If you are passionate about nursing, learning and development and can see yourself in a role where you will both teach, inspire, challenge and support your colleagues, we would very much like to hear from you.
We look forward to hearing what you can contribute to our professional community in District Karup.
