Compliance Specialist

Can you navigate technical quality requirements, certifications and legislation – and translate complex knowledge into something others can build on?

At Sunds Textiles, you get the opportunity to put your expertise to use in an international textile company where compliance is becoming increasingly important. You will become a specialist in the area and play a key role in understanding new requirements, assessing their significance and ensuring that they are translated into action in the right places in the organisation.

You will work closely with colleagues, management and specialists across the Sunds Textiles group and simultaneously have the opportunity to influence how the company works with compliance in the future.

The role

You will personally drive selected tasks, but a substantial part of the role also involves coordinating, involving the right experts and following up across the organisation.

Your tasks will include

• Coordinate and communicate general and textile-technical specification requirements across the Sunds Textiles group
• Delve into certifications and legal requirements such as OEKO-TEX/STeP, amfori and REACH and advise colleagues and management on requirements and implications
• Keep up to date with new requirements and regulations, assess their relevance and translate technical requirements into easily understandable procedures and instructions
• Prepare and conduct internal audits in collaboration with management and specialists and contribute to harmonising documentation based on the quality management of the subsidiaries, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Contribute with research into new environmentally friendly products and processes as well as upcoming documentation requirements within CSR and sustainability

Your fixed workplace will be at the head office in Sunds. There may be a need for minor travel activity in connection with collaboration and audits at the company's overseas locations.

Who are you

Your industry background is not decisive. The most important thing is that you have experience with quality assurance, compliance, certifications or regulatory requirements and have both the interest and ability to immerse yourself in complex and technical material.

If you have experience from the textile industry, that is a clear advantage. If you also have knowledge of OEKO-TEX/STeP, or experience with chemicals, your profile fits particularly well for the role. But you can also come from another industry where you have worked with compliance and certifications and are used to translating requirements and rules into practice.

• Have experience with quality assurance, compliance, certifications and/or technical requirements
• Can understand new requirements and assess what they mean for the company
• Can create momentum and coordinate tasks across the organisation without necessarily being the executor in every area
• Can convey complex and technical material clearly and pragmatically
• Communicate confidently in English, both spoken and written, as English is the corporate language

As a person you are curious about your field and naturally proactive in seeking new knowledge. You work independently, but also thrive with professional sparring and collaboration and you have respect for the specialist knowledge that already exists around the organisation.
