About the job
Do you want to help create the best framework for educating the training of future rescue specialists? Do you thrive in a practical and varied everyday life where collaboration, initiative and good mood are an important part of solving tasks?
We are seeking an engaged constable or sergeant for our Training Department, where you will become part of a newly established support unit. Your main task will be to support the instructors, where you through both practical and administrative task solutions will be involved in teaching, exercises and the daily educational operation prepared and carried out in the best possible way.
In time there will be the possibility that you yourself take an active role in teaching.
About the position
Your daily life will be diverse, and you must be prepared for both planned tasks and the things that arise along the way in a busy education everyday life, where three part divisions’ training and exercises call for many practical preparations.
Your tasks will include not least to
· contribute to ensuring that teaching materials and equipment are functional and ready for use
· support planning and execution of exercises and other activities
· prepare materials, vehicles, teaching facilities and exercise areas before teaching and exercises
· assist the instructors during the conduct of practical teaching
· help with practical and logistical tasks in connection with the training
· restore materials and facilities after teaching and exercises
· draft orders, bookings, as well as handle various practical and administrative tasks across the divisions.
· contribute to daily contact with and support for the conscripts.
In addition there may be tasks of a more administrative nature in cooperation with the chief and the head of the training department.
When you have built up the necessary experience and relevant competences, we would like to see you gradually have the opportunity to contribute to parts of the teaching yourself. This can, for example, be as an assistant in areas where you have or are building up the necessary competences.
Of course we ensure you are equipped for the task, and there will be opportunities for relevant competence development.
About you
Your educational background is not the most important for us. We are primarily looking for a colleague who wants to make everyday life function and who can see the value in creating good frameworks for others' teaching.
You are practically oriented, take responsibility and can work independently when the task requires it. At the same time you thrive in being part of a team where we help each other and together get the tasks done.
We imagine that you
· have an interest in emergency services, education and practical task solving
· have a flair for systems, IT and digital solutions, including AI.
· take initiative and see the tasks to be solved
· work structurally and follow your tasks through to the end
· are flexible and thrive with two workdays not necessarily being the same
· have good cooperation skills and contribute positively to the community
· want to work together with both instructors and conscripts
· are prepared to develop professionally and eventually contribute more actively to the teaching.
It is an advantage if you have experience from the Danish Emergency Management Agency, a municipal rescue service, the armed forces or similar, but it is not a requirement if you, instead, have a practical, craft or technical background.
It would be a natural advantage if you are trained as a rescue specialist and want to build on your operational and emergency management competencies.
Finally it would weigh positively if you bring administrative competencies, including in the use of SAP systems.
We offer
We offer a workplace where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for training our conscripts and thus for the entire emergency services.
You will have a varied everyday life with both practical tasks, collaboration and the possibility for professional development. You will also become part of an environment where there is little distance from idea to action, and where we expect everyone to contribute to the common task.
For the right employee the position can develop in line with your competencies and interests – including with the possibility of building competencies within teaching and emergency management areas.
