About the job
Are you a specialist in psychiatry, and do you thrive on thinking outside the box? Do you really want to make a difference for a vulnerable patient group and work with all diagnoses across ICD-10? Then you may be the one we are seeking in Horsens.
Clinic 3 houses two teams, and you will be part of both. The clinic has joint leadership by the chief physician and the head nurse.
Team for Integrated Treatment (11 clinicians) is specialized in helping one of psychiatry's most complex and vulnerable target groups: patients who suffer from both a psychiatric disorder and concurrent substance use. Here, standard solutions are rarely enough, and your psychiatric expertise comes truly into play.
Psychiatric Acute Team (7 clinicians) offers rapid, short-term and intensive outpatient treatment for up to 12 weeks for adults who have urgent need of psychiatric help, with the aim of preventing or shortening hospitalization.
About the job and your responsibilities
- Assessment as well as medical and therapeutic treatment of patients with complex dual diagnoses and of patients in the acute team.
- Development of individual, integrated treatment paths in close collaboration with the patient, the multidisciplinary team and municipal partners.
- Medical optimization with particular attention to interactions between psychiatric medications and substances.
- Participate in the continuing education of the upcoming generation of doctors.
- Professional sparring, supervision and guidance for colleagues and external partners.
Who are you?
- You see yourself as a generalist and are motivated by the diagnostic breadth, in both acute work and in the linkage with addiction psychiatry.
- You have good collaboration skills and place the interdisciplinary work environment high, where nurses, psychologists, social workers, social and healthcare assistants, physiotherapists and doctors work together.
Experience with acute psychiatry or dual-diagnosis area is an advantage, but not a requirement.
What do we offer?
- A position with room to grow and great influence on planning your own work and the clinic's professional direction.
- A smaller psychiatric department where people know each other across the building and have easy access to discuss patients with colleagues in the diagnosis-specific teams.
- A strong collegial community with high professionalism and good opportunities for supervision and continuing education.
There is a formal on-call function attached to the department's specialist physician group with a flexible number of shifts by arrangement.
Salary and employment terms
The position is a permanent role at 37 hours/week with start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement. Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the currently applicable collective agreement in the field concluded between Danske Regions and the Association of Specialist Doctors.
The assessment will be based on the applicant's information about their own competencies within the seven competency areas. Applications should include documentation of competencies within the specialist roles. The latter is entered in a form for professional assessment, which can be downloaded here.
