About the job
Document and analysis section in the Center for Border Control – Copenhagen Airport seeks a consultant who will contribute to the section's ongoing development. The consultant shall plan and hold local and national courses and participate in internal and external collaboration forums.
About the position
The section's primary task is to conduct document investigations to support cases for the Duty Judge, its own center or for other units in the circuit.
The section also provides teaching at, among others, the Police Academy and assists with advice and guidance to external as well as internal partners – just as we cooperate with NKC and NIDC regarding solving tasks with national and international perspectives.
Tasks
We are a specialized and tightly knit team that among other things handles the following tasks:
- Carry out and support case processing by preparing document investigations, when these have been used for document– or person forgery.
- Examine documents at entry/exit control.
- In addition, the section can assist with other ad hoc police operational tasks in close cooperation with the other border control sections as needed in the airport, such as carrying out crime and immigration checks on selected aircraft.
- As a consultant, police, you are also expected to contribute to knowledge sharing within the section and across the center as well as undertake teaching tasks – locally and nationally.
The tasks take place in an international environment with many different internal and external partners.
The fixed group of employees is a mix of experienced and younger colleagues who continually improve themselves within the document area. It provides a good synergy in the section, contributing to mutual development and professional adaptation to the tasks the section must support now and in the future.
In addition, there is the possibility of travel activity, as training/education/knowledge sharing often takes place internationally, for example with Frontex.
About you
You must have a police professional education (Police Basic Training), as well as specialized knowledge and competences and be able to solve specialized tasks in the area – with a certain degree of independence in task execution.
We are looking for the right “profile”, and great emphasis is placed on collaboration skills, commitment and the desire to delve into a highly specialized field. For the same reason, we practice a high degree of “freedom with responsibility”, and it is expected that you continually update your knowledge in the field.
The consultant, police, must be willing to immerse themselves professionally and be willing to contribute with teaching internally in the police - both locally and nationally at the Police Academy.
Good language skills are an advantage, as a large part of the correspondence both in writing and spoken takes place in English.
Salary and employment terms
Salary in accordance with the police classification agreement as consultant in salary group 3, pay scale 2, grade step 44 and any local salary supplements are determined according to applicable rules.
You will be stationed for the time being at Copenhagen Police, and you will initially perform duty in the Center for Border Control, Document and Analysis Section, Petersdalvej 1A, 2770 Kastrup.
