About the job
The Greenlandic Health Service is in the process of implementing the duty roster planning system PDC-VagtPlan and is seeking a consultant/roster planner with strong professional, digital, relational and communication skills.
You will have the opportunity to become part of building a new central function that will ensure consistent and quality-based duty planning across all of Greenland. As part of the central team you will play an important role in both the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan and the subsequent operation, support and development of the duty planning area.
In the initial phase of employment you will be closely involved in the implementation of the system, including configuration, customization and support of the individual departments’ duty rosters. When the system is in operation, you will continue to have a central role in ensuring proper use of PDC-VagtPlan, advising managers and local duty planners and further developing workflows and solutions.
This is a permanent position with workplace in Nuuk.
Your tasks will include, among other things
- Contribute to the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan, including configuring, setting up and adapting the system to the needs of the individual departments
- Support the transition to new workflows and ensure good anchoring of the system in the organization
- Advise and support managers and local duty planners in the use of PDC-VagtPlan
- Quality assure duty rosters and contribute to ensuring that working time rules, collective agreements and local agreements are observed
- Ensure good use of data from duty planning, so leaders have a better basis for decisions about resources and capacity
- Prepare guidelines and training materials and conduct training as needed
- Contribute to the development and improvement of workflows, principles and standards for duty planning
- Advise and brainstorm with managers and leaders on complex duty planning issues
Duty planning is a core task in all departments, but at the same time a complex function where many considerations must be balanced. A good duty plan ensures that patients are met by the right staff with the right competencies at the right time and place. At the same time, economy, operations, working environment and employees’ well-being must be considered.
You thrive in a role where you create structure, find solutions and support managers and employees in complex planning tasks. You are motivated by collaboration, advisory work and by being involved in developing a central function in the Greenlandic Health Service.
We imagine that you
- Have experience with duty planning, preferably from a complex operational environment
- Have experience with electronic duty roster systems and preferably experience with PDC-VagtPlan or similar duty planning systems
- Have an interest in and preferably experience with configuring and tailoring digital solutions
- Have an understanding of the link between duty planning, working time rules, collective agreements and operations
- Have strong skills in planning, coordination and quality assurance
- Thrive on advising, training and collaborating across the organization
- Work in a structured, autonomous way with attention to both detail and the whole
- Are flexible regarding travel activity
It is advantageous if you
- Have experience from the health service
- Have experience implementing or developing digital systems
- Have experience supporting users and super-users in using digital solutions
- Have knowledge of working time rules and collective agreements
