About the job

Be part of ensuring progress in one of Denmark's largest infrastructure programs.

Do you have experience with or an interest in legal and contractual matters, and are you motivated by creating overview and ensuring that agreements, rights and obligations are handled and followed up?

In this position you will have the opportunity to put your legal understanding into practice. You will work to support the projects through structured follow-up on contracts and agreements and ensure progress on tasks where legal, commercial and project considerations must come together in a unified whole.

At the same time you will become part of an important societal task: the development and transformation of the Danish railway network so more trains can run on electricity.

If you thrive with responsibility, coordination and follow-up and at the same time want to apply your legal understanding in a concrete project reality, this may be you we are looking for.

In Banedanmark's Electrification Program we work on electrifying and expanding the Danish railway network. We are looking for a

contract coordinator

, who can create overview, ensure follow-up and coordinate processes across the organization.

You will take a central role in the work with contract follow-up and coordination of ongoing cases, where you among other things will support follow-up on the contractual rights and obligations of the parties and ensure that relevant aspects are documented. At the same time you will support the work with faults and deficiencies as well as follow-up on relevant agreement-, warranty-, and contract-related issues.

You will thus be part of the work of translating the contract basis into concrete follow-up in the project. The position is therefore ideal for you who thrive on getting many different professional areas to work together and ensure that agreements, tasks and cases are followed through.

Contract follow-up and progress across professional disciplines

Your primary task will be to create structure and progress in the work with contractual matters and ongoing cases. You will among other things support ongoing follow-up on the contract basis, ensure that relevant matters are documented, and coordinate the necessary legal and technical clarifications.

You will have a daily life where you work both independently and have close contact with the technical and legal team, where you will be a link between legal assessments and everyday life out on the railway. You will also be a link to Engineering and Execution and will also have contact with colleagues in, for example, design, project management, management support and maintenance.

Your main tasks will be to

  • coordinate and follow up on ongoing contractual cases
  • ensure progress and follow-up across disciplines
  • create an overview of status, activities and next steps
  • coordinate between the technical team and the legal team
  • support systematic follow-up of faults and deficiencies
  • ensure that relevant warranty matters are followed up
  • support legal communication across the organization
  • create structure and overview in cases with many involved parties

The position is primarily characterized by administrative legal tasks and progress tasks, but you also have the opportunity to work project-oriented and independently with your areas of responsibility. Your main task will be to create progress, coordinate the relevant parties, and ensure that cases are followed all the way through.

The position is therefore primarily characterized by coordination and administrative case management, but you also have the opportunity to work independently with legal and contractual issues within your area of competence.

Legal understanding and sense of structure

We are looking for you who has a education with legal elements or relevant legal courses and/or already has experience with legal work or technical project management. We imagine that you have a relevant education with an interest in contracts or law.

You may be newly graduated, but it is an advantage if you have some professional experience from an organization where coordination, project management, contracts or legal case processing are involved.

It is not important that you know everything from day one, but that you have an understanding of law and can apply your legal knowledge in a practical everyday life. It is desirable if you have knowledge of obligations law, contract law or contract management. Technical understanding and financial understanding will also be an advantage.

You will take a role where you come close to both the legal and technical problems in a large infrastructure project. This means you will not only sit with documents and emails. You must also understand what happens in the project, which issues must be followed up, and who must be involved to move a case forward.

We are looking for you who

  • work in a structured way
  • can create an overview of many different cases
  • take responsibility for follow-up and progress
  • can convey contractual issues clearly and understandably
  • have an interest in the connection between contract, technology and execution

You must also thrive in working with colleagues with different professional backgrounds.

In addition, your CV should include

  • a education with legal elements or relevant legal courses
  • 1-2 years of experience with legal work or technical project management
  • experience with project management, coordination, progress or organization
  • good Danish and English skills

Your new team

You will become part of the Electrification Program, where the core team consists of about 20 employees with different professional backgrounds.

We have an informal and open culture, where there is room for both professionalism, humor and good relationships. We have high flexibility, build on trust and work with a flat hierarchy and a focus on psychological safety.

Your immediate manager is open and straightforward and places great emphasis on trust and on everyone contributing their opinion so that we have a broad basis before decisions are made.

There is the possibility of a home office, and we operate with a 37-hour workweek, where lunch is included. The position involves minimal travel activity and is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen on Carsten Niebuhrs Gade.

Opportunity for development

The position gives you the opportunity to develop both within contract follow-up, coordination and project work, and within the legal area.

Once you have created progress and closed the existing items, there will be opportunities to take on other tasks. Over time, the role can evolve in the direction of your experience and the program's requirements, including potential for greater responsibility for contracts or legal work.
