About the job

Do you want to help ensure contract management on some of Denmark's largest utility and construction projects?

HOFOR invests billions each year in the critical infrastructure that ensures supply to the capital region. Our portfolios are growing, with both larger and more projects, and with an investment level of just under 4 billion annually, we will implement a number of large projects within, among other things, electrification and supply facilities. Therefore we are seeking an experienced Contract Manager who can support contract management on our construction and civil engineering projects.

You will become part of projects with significant societal impact and will play a central role in ensuring that contractual and commercial matters are handled professionally throughout the project’s lifecycle.

A central role in the project team

You will be assigned to larger construction and civil engineering projects, where you act as a sparring partner for the project management and contribute to identifying, managing and preventing contractual risks.

Contract Management at HOFOR is not about administering contracts from the sidelines. You will become an integrated part of the project team and work closely with project managers, construction managers, contractors, procurement consultants and legal advisors through both the procurement and execution phases.

Your tasks include, among others

  • Sparring with project managers on contractual and commercial matters
  • Management of notices, change requests and addenda
  • Participation in construction and financial meetings
  • Preparation and quality assurance of contractual correspondence
  • Follow-up on contractors' contractual obligations
  • Contributing to handover, final settlements and learning across projects

Experienced Contract Manager with solid project understanding

We envision that you have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience with Contract Management on larger construction and civil engineering projects and thrive in complex projects with many stakeholders. You are visible, good at building relationships and thrive in dialogue with many different stakeholders. You take initiative, facilitate meetings and build trust in collaboration with both colleagues and contractors.

At the same time you have respect for roles, responsibilities and decision mandates in the project organization. You understand when to challenge, when to advise, and when the project team should make the decision.

In addition, we expect that you

  • Have in-depth knowledge of AB18 and experience with contracts on EU-tendered projects
  • Understand the project phases, governance, mandates and decision paths
  • Have experience with handling changes and commercial risks
  • Can translate contractual issues into concrete recommendations for the project

Your skilled colleagues are ready to welcome you

You will become part of the Purchasing & Facility area with 80 capable colleagues with different profiles and roles. The area supports the entire business with procurement, contract management, operational purchasing, warehousing and logistics management as well as facility.

We place emphasis on good sparring, good well-being and a good working environment, and therefore offer flexible terms, where there is the possibility of remote work, by agreement with the nearest manager. You will report to the area manager for Purchasing & Facility.

How you will become our colleague

If you are ready for new opportunities, we look forward to hearing from you no later than 23 October 2026.

We want to make it easy for you to apply for our position, so you do not need to write a cover letter, but instead send your CV where you express your motivation. You can find inspiration for writing a motivated CV here.
