Restaurant NOK in Randers is looking for an experienced and responsible cook for a permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week.

As a cook at Restaurant NOK you will play a central role in the kitchen and in the restaurant's daily operations. We are looking for a versatile employee who not only handles food preparation but also can take responsibility for the other tasks necessary for the restaurant to function well on a daily basis.

Your duties will include

• Preparation, cooking and plating of the restaurant's dishes
• Preparation and pre-processing of ingredients
• Preparation, replenishment and ongoing maintenance of the buffet
• Planning of the kitchen's daily work and coordination of the cooking
• Planning of purchasing and assessment of the need for ingredients and other goods
• Receiving, checking and proper storage of delivered raw materials
• Control of ingredient inventory and contributing to reducing food waste
• Receiving and handling of customers' orders
• Serving customers and cash register as needed
• Preparation and packaging of take-away food
• Ensuring correct food handling and compliance with applicable hygiene and internal control procedures
• Participation in cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and other work areas
• Tidying up and ensuring order in the workplace
• Collaboration with the restaurant's other staff and participation in the restaurant's daily operation
• Other naturally occurring tasks related to the kitchen's and the restaurant's operations

We place emphasis on you as a cook being flexible and able to work in all areas of the restaurant when needed. The position therefore requires both kitchen professional competencies, responsibility, overview and willingness to help with the various tasks that arise during the workday.

We expect that you

Have relevant experience as a cook or from similar work in the restaurant industry. You must be able to work independently, maintain an overview in busy periods and take responsibility for quality, hygiene and daily operations. At the same time we expect you to be flexible, cooperative and service-minded.

We offer

A permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week, rotating working hours, a diverse workday with responsibility and varying tasks, as well as salary according to qualifications and experience. The existing advertisement also indicates permanent full-time employment and rotating shifts.
