jem & fix is Denmark's largest discount DIY store and a part of the Harald Nyborg group. We are in solid growth and are, among other things, working on opening new stores to complement our current 139 of that kind in Denmark, 21 stores in Norway and 82 stores in Sweden.

In connection with one of our two copywriters going on maternity leave, we are seeking a maternity leave replacement starting December 1, 2026 for 10 months, with the possibility of extension. You will, together with our other copywriter, be an important link in the intersection between supplier, marketing and purchasing. You will become part of jem & fix’s marketing department, which consists of 14 employees.

With reference to the Digital Team Manager, your areas of responsibility and tasks

• Production of product texts for jem & fix’s webshop for both new and existing item numbers, ensuring customers receive relevant and correct information about the goods.
• Preparation and updating of the product texts regarding specifications, variant management, energy labels and other master data.
• Production and updating of category and brand texts, so they are optimized for search engines (SEO) and chat bots (GEO).
• Ad hoc writing tasks.
• Close contact and collaboration with the Purchasing Department regarding creation of products, correct product information and collection of other relevant material on the products.
• Coordination with Norwegian and Swedish colleagues regarding product information that can be shared across the countries.
• Contribute to further development of the system for optimizing product texts (PIM system).

jem & fix is a company in rapid development, and the tasks may therefore evolve over time.

Your background and personality

• You may be a recent graduate and have had a relevant student job. You may have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in language or communication – but your educational background is not decisive.
• Has good understanding of tools within digital communication, and you are able to put yourself in the customer's shoes.
• You write well and are 100% error-free in written Danish, spelling and punctuation.
• Knowledge of Norwegian and/or Swedish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You are keen to learn our PIM solution.
• You have good insight into - or interest in - onsite SEO, with emphasis on SEO-friendly text production.
• You have good insight into - or interest in – text production for chat bots and find the use of AI exciting.
• You are structured and detail-oriented.
• You work independently and are flexible.
• You can balance being consistent and collaborative.
• You can make critical assessments of product descriptions and take the necessary actions to improve them in collaboration with suppliers, the Purchasing Department and Customer Service
