Create safe play experiences with a 6-year-old girl

Are you an educator or have relevant experience and are good at creating structure and coming up with activities based on the child’s interests? Then this could be the job for you.

About the task

You will be an important support for a 6-year-old girl with autism and anxiety. She has a good language, but needs a clear and predictable approach that creates security and an overview.

The girl loves music, dance and obstacle courses, which you help to devise and build. She also enjoys playing in the game universe (Roblox) that she is focused on. Your task is to take the initiative for play and activities as well as come up with ideas and small prompts that she can build the play on. It is an important part of creating a good relationship and a safe interaction.

Over time there may be a need for support with toilet visits when a safe and trusting relationship has been established.

The girl has separation anxiety, and therefore a longer onboarding period must be expected. During this period one of the parents will be at home while the relationship with you is built.

About you

You are a trained educator or have experience with children with special needs. You preferably have knowledge of autism and anxiety as well as experience in creating structure and safe frameworks in a 1:1 relationship.

You work calmly and patiently and must be able to take the initiative for play and activities. You manage to adapt the activities to the child’s needs and daily form and are good at building a trusting relationship through an appreciative, clear and predictable approach.

It is important that you are a non-smoker and refrain from using perfume when you are at work, as the child’s senses are very sensitive.

Working hours

The position is a total of 58 hours per month.

The working days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12-17, as well as every other weekend from 9-16.

The hours are usually distributed in shifts of 3 hours. Fridays and weekends may be 5-6 hours.

The concrete working hours are agreed with the family.

The family also hopes that the working hours can sometimes be arranged so that there is also a possibility of occasional evening shifts.

Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for handicapped assistance in the citizen's own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Dansk Erhverv.
