About the job
Do you have the patience to let a relationship develop at the pace needed? And can you create contact through creative activities and shared interests?
About the task
We are looking for a permanent staff member for a 13-year-old girl who needs support to create a safe relationship and gradually become motivated for company and activities.
The girl, among other things, has social anxiety and ADHD and can have difficulty making contact with people she does not know. Therefore it is important that you do not push for contact, but give her time and show that you are available. Building the relationship can take a long time, and in the beginning a large part of the task may consist of simply being present and creating familiarity and security.
A good entry point to the contact can be her creative interests. She enjoys small DIY projects, felting, origami and yarn as well as Japanese culture, anime, music and small games and tasks. For example, you can start a creative activity and give her the opportunity to become curious and participate when she is ready.
The task is to meet her on her terms and focus on what interests her, rather than directing attention to what is difficult. Over time the goal is to create a safe companionship with room for activities and good experiences.
About you
You can be a pedagogue or untrained with relevant experience. The most important thing is that you have great patience and understand that a good relationship does not necessarily arise quickly.
You can be present without pushing yourself on, and you are good at creating contact through activities and shared interests. You take the initiative in a calm and natural way and can keep the focus on the positive and concrete in the companionship.
It is an advantage if you are personally interested in creative activities, anime, Japanese culture or similar, as this can provide a natural common starting point.
Working hours
The position is 15 hours per week.
The working hours are fixed Monday to Friday 12:00–15:00.
We offer
You will become part of a family-owned company with a lot of engaged employees. You have a fixed advisor whom you can always get sparring from. Outside the office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in citizens’ own homes (minus BPA) entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
You receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling - and you simply cannot avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
