Creative educator for after-school club and middle grades at Munkegårdsskolen, up to 37 hours per week

We are looking for an engaged educator with a creative streak for our Fritidscenter Vognfjederen. You must challenge and inspire our creative children so that they continue to feel that our creative workshop is the best place to be. You must be relationship-skilled and see opportunities rather than limitations.

You should also be up for going on camps a couple of times a year – ski camp in Austria, summer camp to Lalandia, autumn camp to Bornholm, or something else entirely.

Our recreation center is located on two sites - Vognfjederen and Olympia - which house both an after-school club and a junior club. The after-school club is for children in 4th-5th grade and our Junior Club is aimed at students in 6th-9th grade. There is free choice of clubs in the municipality, but most members come from Munkegårdsskolen and Dyssegårdsskolen. We currently have 410 members.

We are committed to our work with the children in the club and this is reflected in the way we work pedagogically with them. We believe that an educationally inclusive leisure offer can create relationships and communities across gender and age, and we also think it is important to challenge the students in both interests and relationships.

In addition to the work in the club, you will also be attached to the middle grades at Munkegårdsskolen. Here you have 10 lessons per week - in a fixed timetable, though with the flexibility to put in more hours in one week and fewer another. As a school educator we emphasize that you are willing to take responsibility both academically and for well-being and that you want to inspire and be inspired by others. It is important that you are prepared for close collaboration with the teacher with co-teaching as the driving force of the teaching.

Salary and employment follow the current collective agreement. In Gentofte Municipality there is a general policy that for the children and youth sector, police and child protection checks must be obtained.

Start date 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
