Creative licensee sought for Stigehallens cafe

Are you the person we are looking for to run and develop our cafe and social gathering point in Stigehallen?

Stigehallen's cafe forms the framework for the hall's social life and for big and small experiences for the entire local community. We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated person with good ideas – and the courage to bring them to life – to take over the cafe's lease and develop it into an even more vibrant hub for the whole of Stige.

The core task will be the preparation and sale of food and drinks in the cafe on selected afternoons and evenings for the active users in the hall, as well as on weekends during the year when there are tournaments and events. In addition, there are many opportunities to expand the business for an enterprising lessee. It could for example be:

• Today's dish targeted at the residents of Stige town
• Community meals for the many sports teams
• School meals for the town's two schools
• Meals for pensioners
• Renting the cafe to private parties with or without catering
• Organization of small and large events in the cafe or hall
• Catering in connection with the rental of meeting rooms

Who are we?

Stigehallen is a self-governing association with a volunteer board, as well as a full-time hall manager and a part-time assistant who are on site daily. We are all passionate about the hall, the cafe, and the local community, and for the associations that use the hall. As a board, we value close and trustworthy collaboration, and we are ready to support our new lessee so that we can together create the best framework.

Who are you?

• You have experience with cooking and rational kitchen operations on a larger scale.
• You are service-minded and enjoy interacting with people of all kinds.
• You are imaginative and not afraid to try new initiatives – even if they don’t always succeed.
• You have experience with, or at least an understanding of, club life and volunteering.
