About the job
Would you like to help ensure the operation of the mechanical systems in FE’s new data centers – and contribute to Denmark’s security?
In connection with the establishment of FE’s new headquarters at Svanemøllen Barracks, 10,000 m² of new data centers are being built. Here, the mechanical systems will be a central part of the critical infrastructure that must function stably and reliably.
Do you have experience in the operation and maintenance of critical cooling and ventilation systems? Do you work in a structured way, take responsibility for the quality of your work, and are you motivated by helping to safeguard Denmark’s security? Then you might be one of the Critical Operations Technicians we are seeking for FE.
You will face challenges and have room to develop
FE is looking for technicians for the operations department, which is responsible for the operation of FE’s new data centers at Svanemøllen Barracks in Copenhagen.
As an employee in FE’s data center operations department, you will be part of the operation and maintenance of the mechanical systems that form a substantial part of the data centers’ critical infrastructure. The work is carried out according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), where systematic thinking, quality and precision are essential.
Your tasks will include, among others
- Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with MOPs/SOPs and the agreed OLAs/SLAs without deviations.
- Manage operation, monitoring and maintenance of mechanical systems and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of the mechanical systems across all plant types.
- Participate in the ongoing development of FE’s data centers in collaboration with your section and team leader.
- Participate in the implementation of necessary preventive and corrective maintenance actions.
- Contribute to optimization of the mechanical systems in collaboration with service providers.
- Ensure that documentation and records in relevant systems are always up to date.
- Identify and follow up on faults, deviations and deficiencies.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call shift schedule to ensure continuous operation.
You and your background matter
We anticipate that you have a minimum of three years’ experience with operation and maintenance of critical cooling and ventilation systems in data centers or similar environments.
You have a qualification as a cooling/ventilation technician or equivalent and experience with SOP-based work and process control.
You work in a structured way, have an eye for detail, and are naturally focused on ensuring high quality and adherence to standards. You communicate clearly, take responsibility for your tasks, and follow up within your area of work.
It would be an advantage if you have experience with ITSM, CMMS, SCADA and/or DCIM systems.
It is also a requirement that you can obtain and maintain a security clearance for HEM.
Your new workplace
The Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is Denmark’s foreign intelligence service and works – covertly and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.
We are not alone in protecting Denmark, but we are the only authority that has been mandated to use particularly special means to uncover what other states and foreign actors attempt to keep secret. It makes sense for us to contribute to peace, safety and security for Danes – both in the analog and in the digital world. We do this by identifying, assessing, advising on and countering current threats and threats in development.
We value the strength of our diversity and our many deep professional skills. FE is a very special, operationally oriented knowledge organization with many different tasks. What unites them all is the knowledge base created by our intelligence work.
Your salary package depends on your qualifications
Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union and depend on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate additional pay based on qualifications.
The average working week is 37 hours, including a paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme paid by FE.
As an employee of FE you are subject to special terms. You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance during your entire employment. As in the rest of the Defence, you may also be required to be deployed abroad for short periods.
