About the job
Can you use data and technology to make everyday life easier for managers and employees in our organization? Are you good at translating data into usable knowledge and motivated to make a difference in the children- and youth-area?
Then you could be our new colleague in the Family and Prevention Secretariat.
Maternity leave cover full-time | Period: 01.12.26 – 30.11.27 | Application deadline: 21.10.26
Who are we? You will become part of the Family and Prevention Secretariat, where 20 dedicated colleagues work across health, prevention and the specialized social area. The management consists of a Secretariat Chief, a Development Chief and the head of Family and Prevention. We are part of the Children and Youth Administration.
We share knowledge, support each other and have an eye for both detail and the whole. Our culture is characterized by trust, room for mistakes, humor and an informal tone. We have different professional backgrounds, including political science, public health science, sociology and sports and health.
Our core task is to drive development, support operations and create coherence in Family and Prevention and in the collaboration with relevant parties. We work, among other things, with development processes, project management and support for leaders and managers. We create coherence to the political level, in Odense Municipality and in the position you will be close to decision-making processes in the children and youth area.
We bring our competencies into play with a focus on the concrete task and succeed when our efforts strengthen prevention and contribute to the well-being, development and learning of children, youths and families. We collaborate closely with managers and employees in our departments:
- Center for Interventions for Children and Youth
- Children and Family Counseling
- Center for Dental Care
- Cross-cutting Health and Prevention
We also collaborate with the Children and Youth Administration's other departments: Staff, School and Daycare.
About the job As a maternity leave cover, you will play a central role in supporting development and operations in Family and Prevention. You work across professional areas and organizational units, and the tasks are prioritized and planned in dialogue with your immediate supervisor and your colleagues.
Data and system support
- You support the use of professional systems such as Novax, Targit, SBSYS and SurveyXact.
- You contribute to ensuring high data quality, you translate data into relevant management information and make data lively and usable in practice.
- You become the secretariat's go-to person on GDPR questions and collaborate with colleagues across the Children and Youth Administration.
- You solve tasks within digitization and automation.
Sustainable workflows in the secretariat
- You take responsibility for strengthening the secretariat's use of Copilot and Teams in daily task solving. You identify new use opportunities, share knowledge and develop e.g. AI agents. We are already well underway and look forward to your experience lifting our digital practice further.
Communication and web accessibility
- In collaboration with colleagues in the Children and Youth Administration's staff, you coordinate Family and Prevention pages on odense.dk and collaborate with the decentralized web editors.
- You contribute to content meeting current requirements and standards for web accessibility.
Cross-cutting consultancy tasks
- You handle other consultancy tasks that always arise in our daily life.
- You contribute to creating progress in development tasks, establishing structure and ensuring that solutions can be anchored and handed over.
The tasks are solved in close cooperation with colleagues in the secretariat and in the Family and Prevention departments. You report to the development chief.
About you As you may sense in this job advertisement, we are not tech nerds, and you do not need to be either. However, you should have a desire for and flair for developing our operations through data, automation and web accessibility. You see opportunities in digital tools like Copilot and Teams and dare to try new solutions. You may be newly educated, you may also have experience from a municipality or another politically governed organization. We do not expect you to master all areas from the start. The most important thing is that you are curious, learning-oriented and motivated for a consultancy role where systems, data and workflows support the organization’s everyday life.
We offer
