Are you our new Danish teacher at Humlebæk School?

We are seeking a teacher for our lovely children and skilled colleagues in the primary years.

The position is a permanent appointment with start date 1 December 2026. Danish is the primary subject, but we are also interested in your other competencies and are happy to tailor the right subject package for the right applicant. If you have an interest or training in AKT, that would also be advantageous.

At Humlebæk School we work closely in year-group teams and have flexible class formation. That means you will become the teacher for the entire year group and teach across classes. The teaching is planned collaboratively, and we place great emphasis on teamwork. At the same time we want to give space to your ideas, interests and academic passions. With us, what you are passionate about should be able to be realized.

Over the past years we have built a well-equipped makerspace that supports creative and practice-oriented teaching. We prioritise co-teaching and have school pedagogues attached to all year groups in the primary section. Didactic and pedagogical development is therefore a natural part of our everyday life.

You will become part of a committed team with a focus on the children's voice, high professional standards and a culture where we help each other. At the same time you will become part of a well-functioning staff group with a strong social community and many professional and festive events throughout the year.

Humlebæk School is a traditional school dating from 1907 and an integral part of the town's life. We have a large and active parent involvement, and our inspiring surroundings are used by children, young people and adults outside of school hours.

The school has two departments: an early years department close to water and forest and an upper years department surrounded by fields and meadows. We actively use the local area and incorporate nature and culture into teaching.

The school is easy to reach from throughout Greater Copenhagen with short distances to Humlebæk Station and the Helsingør Motorway.
