Are you our new Danish teacher at Humlebæk School?

We are seeking a teacher for our lovely children and our capable colleagues in the lower primary.

The position is a permanent appointment with start on December 1, 2026.

Danish is the main subject, but we are also interested in your other competencies and are happy to assemble the right subject package for the right applicant. If you have an interest or training in AKT, that would also be an advantage.

At Humlebæk School we work closely in year-group teams and have flexible class formation. This means that you become the teacher for the whole year group and teach across classes. The lessons are planned collaboratively, and we place great emphasis on cooperation. At the same time we want to give space to your ideas, interests and academic passions. For us, what you are passionate about must be able to be realized.

Over the past few years we have built a well-equipped makerspace that supports creative and practice-oriented teaching. We prioritize co-teaching and have school counsellors attached to all year groups in the primary school. Didactic and pedagogical development is therefore a natural part of our everyday life.

You will become part of an engaged team with focus on the children's voice, high professional standards and a culture where we help each other. At the same time you will become part of a well-functioning staff group with a strong social community and many professional and festive events throughout the year.

You value structure, but you are also good at seizing the spontaneous opportunities that arise. Humlebæk School is a traditional school from 1907 and an integral part of the town's life. We have a large and active parent involvement, and our inspiring surroundings are used by children, young people and adults outside the school day.

The school has two departments: a primary department close to water and forest and a lower secondary department surrounded by fields and meadows. We actively use the local area and incorporate nature and culture in teaching.

The school is easily accessible from all of Greater Copenhagen with short distance to both Humlebæk Station and Helsingør motorvej.
