About the job

We are looking for a committed and relationship-oriented teacher with Danish as a central subject for our special class S2, who is motivated to make a difference for our students and give them a good and safe school day. The position also includes teaching in other subjects in S2 and S3, e.g. history, social studies, movement and creative, and you will also have approximately 7 lessons teaching in general classes in the early years/middle years.

In S2 and S3 there are students from grades 3 to 9, divided into two classes with around 10 students in each. The teaching is carried out in close collaboration between one teacher and one educator, and everyday life is characterized by clear frameworks, structure and a strong focus on relationships.

We are looking for you who are passionate about Danish and have the ability to make the subject meaningful, manageable and applicable – also for students who need a different approach to learning. You work ambitiously to ensure that all students become as proficient as they can be, and you know that academic development goes hand in hand with safety, predictability and well-being.

Whether you are a newly graduated and curious about the field of special education, or you have experience from special education or the general education sector, we would love to hear from you. The most important is that you want to work with a diverse group of students and can see yourself in close, professional collaboration with both educators and teachers.

With us you will become part of a school where collaboration, collective reflection and professional sparring are prioritized. We help each other, share knowledge and support – both when everyday life succeeds and when it challenges.

Nymarkskolen is a sports school, and movement is a natural part of our pedagogical and didactic approach. Therefore we see it as a strength if you can also incorporate movement and practice-based learning forms in the teaching – adapted to the students' needs and prerequisites.

If you would like to experience the atmosphere at Nymarkskolen, you are very welcome to contact us to arrange a visit – we are ready with coffee/soda and look forward to meeting you.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • is a trained teacher with teaching subjects in Danish
  • is a calm and clear adult who stands strong in classroom management
  • can meet the students with respect, care and a resource-oriented perspective
  • can keep calm and see beyond the students' behavior – even when it gets difficult
  • is engaged and reliable
  • can take on co-responsibility for the team's joint tasks
  • collaborates in a constructive manner with colleagues, management, parents and students

Who are we?

At Nymarkskolen we attach great importance to community, as we believe it strengthens us in our shared task of ensuring learning and well-being for all students. Our values are: learning, movement, collaboration, diversity, well-being and community.

We have 600 students spread over 2-3 tracks from kindergarten to 9th grade and 74 employees. Nymarkskolen is a sports school and has the municipality's only sports talent program for grades 7 to 9. In addition, we have a special class row from kindergarten to 9th grade as well as two reception classes for the oldest students in Slagelse city.

We offer

  • a well-functioning school where there is room for both newly graduated and experienced teachers
  • a strong team collaboration in year group, class team and subject team
  • opportunity for professional sparring and mentorship
  • flexible hours
  • option to add lunch in Madkassen , where Pia prepares delicious food
