Danish teacher sought for maternity cover at Fjelsted Harndrup School

In Fjelsted Harndrup Children's Universe we are seeking a professionally skilled and engaged Danish and class teacher for our 6th grade.

The position is a maternity/vacancy cover of 32 hours.

Fjelsted Harndrup Children's Universe is located in eastern Middelfart and consists of a single-track primary school with about 90 pupils distributed across 0-6 grades, an after-school program (SFO) and a day care with about 50 children. We are a staff group of just under 40 engaged employees, of which 13 are in the school part/SFO.

In the children's universe you are part of something bigger – we are a place where coherence, safety and continuity in children's lives and learning are fundamental values. We work closely together – both about the individual class, the school and the universe as a whole. You thus have the opportunity, and should want, to contribute to the direction – there is a short path from idea to action.

We place a high emphasis on academic achievement and well-being, and we are good at using the outdoor space and the nature around us. We are an attractive children's universe and continuously focus on this. We value few teacher-principles, as it supports strong relationships between teacher and students, a safe and predictable everyday life and coherence.

Our student group consists of pupils with very different prerequisites, and we include them all. We have high student well-being and students who are motivated to learn.

About you

• You are a qualified teacher
• You have Danish as your major subject
• You have the competences to teach the following subjects in 6th grade: Danish, English, History, Science/Technology
• You have the competences to teach the following subjects in 3rd grade: English and History
• You are ready to take on the role of class teacher in our 6th grade
• You are academically proficient and engaged
• You have strong relationship-building skills, and you are a skilled and clear class leader
• You have a positive outlook on life and a calm and encouraging approach to the students
• You meet children, parents and colleagues professionally and are open and approachable
• You are good at collaborating with parents and value this highly
• You want to be part of a small community with good atmosphere and room to think big

Salary and Employment Terms

Workplace: Fjelsted Harndrup Children's Universe

Working hours: 32 hours

Start date: 01.12.2026

Salary placement is according to the agreement for teachers etc. in primary school and adult special education, our pre-agreements and possibly individual allowances based on special competences, knowledge or experience.

The position's salary range as a teacher will be from DKK 32,272.40 up to DKK 37,899.25, depending on the candidate's seniority, further education and personal competencies.

Salary range is monthly salary excl. pension.

In the above salary range there is a special Middelfart allowance of 1,310.79 kr. pursuant to our pre-agreement.

Background check including child and criminal record will be obtained.
