Danish Sports Federation (DIF) seeks sportstech consultant

And would you like to be involved from the start when we establish the DIF Innovation Lab in Herning?

About the position

As a sportstech consultant you will be one of the central drivers in building the DIF Innovation Lab Herning. You will create relationships, develop networks, and help businesses and sports organizations find consensus on concrete test and development processes. You will both test existing solutions and facilitate the “inverse Dragons’ Den,” where sports bring in concrete challenges, and you help link them to entrepreneurs and companies that can contribute with relevant solutions

One week you might be planning a networking event where sports clubs, companies, and entrepreneurs meet to share experiences and create new collaborations. The next week you might be in dialogue with a company that has developed a new app for performance analysis, and you will help find the right club to test it in practice. Your task is to bring the right people around the table, ensure progress, and help good ideas all the way from the first meeting to concrete testing.

We already have a strong foundation to build on. In the DIF Innovation Lab, more than 60 companies have applied to be part of the network, and 18 companies currently participate in our specialized development programs. With the establishment in Herning, we aim to create even stronger connections to companies, entrepreneurs, educational and research institutions, and sports communities in Western Denmark.

In addition, you will become an important ambassador for the DIF Innovation Lab Herning. Many of the projects and collaborations we create contain good stories that deserve to be told.

Therefore, you will also be involved in documenting and communicating these good cases. This can include photos and short videos from testing processes, interviews with companies and sports actors, or posts that demonstrate how new solutions create value in practice.

Your main tasks

As a sportstech consultant you will be part of the DIF Innovation Lab, where you will help create activities, relationships, and tangible results. You will, among other things:

• Plan and host networking events and workshops for sport and business.
• Find and develop collaborations between sports clubs, federations, startups, and established companies.
• Drive test and development programs where new solutions are tested in real sports environments.
• Create visibility of exciting cases, activities and results through photos, videos, stories and content for social media and other channels.
• Help develop new offers and programs based on the opportunities in Western Denmark.

About you

We are looking for a colleague with experience in business development and technology. Perhaps you have ventured into entrepreneurship yourself? The most important thing is that you can drive development programs and thrive on creating relationships, taking initiatives, and making things happen.

You are the type who is not afraid to call a sports club, organize a networking event, or bring five different actors together around an idea that needs to be translated into practice.

It is an advantage if you already have a relevant network in Western Denmark, but the most important thing is your willingness and ability to build it.

Practical information

The position is anchored in the Danish Sports Federation with daily work in Herning.

The position is fixed-term until 30/11 - 2028.
