About the job
Do you want to use your communication expertise to create change for women and children who have experienced violence – in Denmark and internationally? And do you dream of gaining experience with strategic communication, campaigns, events, fundraising and digital media? Then you might be exactly the person to be Danner's new communications intern.
Why an internship at Danner?
As a communications and fundraising intern you will be employed in Danner's Department of Communications & Knowledge, where we are 20 engaged employees who work with knowledge and data collection, education, national and international projects, fundraising, communication and policy. You will become part of Danner's communications team, which works strategically and purposefully to put violence against women on the agenda in the broad public, in the press and within politics. We do this, among other things, through campaign work, digital media, events, fundraising and political advocacy.
An exciting internship with lots of opportunities
We offer you a challenging internship with plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development. At Danner we highly value our interns, and you will be involved in different projects where there is particular development potential for exactly you. You will join a work environment where humor, inclusivity and openness are valued highly, and you will have a varied daily life in a cross-disciplinary setting. You will come right into the operations and gain insight into the department's daily work to improve the conditions of women and children who have experienced violence. Your tasks will include:
- Develop content for the web, newsletters, social media, and press
- Help develop and write communication flows for fundraising with a focus on recruitment, retention and re-engagement of fixed supporters
- If applicable, help develop and launch new fundraising initiatives
- Contribute to Danner's event and campaign work within communication and fundraising
- Be involved in developing and delivering Danner's annual March 8th event and contribute to planning Danner's participation at Folkemødet on Bornholm
- Help write Danner's annual report
- Carry out diverse research tasks and relay findings to your colleagues
- Handle ad hoc tasks, including practical and logistical tasks in connection with internal and external events at Dannerhuset
Who are you?
We imagine that you are pursuing a master's degree/postgraduate studies in communication, journalism, Danish, or another relevant field.
- You enjoy writing and have a good command of grammar
- You have an interest in and knowledge about gender equality
- You understand how to tailor communication to different audiences and channels
- You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help solving a task or are unsure about something
- You can work independently and keep an overview when you receive new tasks
- You are flexible and engaged, and you enjoy being challenged
- You are organized and like to work systematically
- You may already know a little about fundraising, and if not, you are ready to learn.
The internship period starts in January/February 2027 and ends at the end of June 2027 (or by agreement). Working hours are 30-37 hours per week, but flexible. The internship is unpaid.
