About the job

Would you like to help optimize the way we develop data solutions and explore how AI and agents can make data development more efficient, consistent and scalable?

Do you want to transform and be something special for others? As an employee at LB you gain more substance in your job, where conditions, benefits and flexibility benefit the whole person. At LB Forsikring we put soul into the work, and we meet members, colleagues and the outside world with sharpened awareness. You will become part of a member-owned community where we are there for each other. We also share the goal of making insurance obsolete.

We strive to create a workplace where innovation, collaboration and continuous learning are in focus. You will be part of a team of engaged and capable professionals, where we value open communication, creativity and a healthy balance between work and private life.

Do these tasks sound like something for you?

As a data engineer you will be part of our centralized data team with specialists in data engineering, data governance and data operations. You will play a central role in the further development of our data platform, where Snowflake and dbt are among the most important technologies, and you are the right person for the job if you have the toolbox in order and a desire to help develop the way we work.

You will not only be responsible for developing data solutions, you will also help improve the way we develop data solutions through standardization, automation, AI assistants and agent-based ways of working.

Your main tasks in the role will be

  • Develop, optimize and maintain data solutions in Snowflake and dbt.
  • Further develop our dbt setup, standards and development processes, so we can develop faster and more consistently.
  • Strengthen quality through automated tests, data quality checks, documentation and monitoring.
  • Develop reusable components, macros and common principles that make data development more efficient and scalable.
  • Apply and test AI assistants and agent-based solutions to automate and improve development work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the business to translate data into robust, value-adding solutions.

Do you want to be part of our community

We want you to thrive, and that we meet our goals together. Therefore we look, among other things, at whether you have the following professional and personal skills for the job:

  • Have solid practical experience with dbt, Snowflake, SQL and data modeling.
  • Have experience developing and scaling data solutions through standardization, testing, data quality and documentation.
  • Have worked with Git, code review, CI/CD and automated development processes.
  • Are motivated by improving developer tools, workflows and developer experience.
  • Have experience with or a strong interest in AI assistants, Copilots and agent-based solutions in development work.
  • Have experience developing and scaling modern data platforms with focus on automation, quality, standardization and developer experience.
  • Have an understanding of data security, governance and GDPR.

It is not essential that you have worked with all technologies or already implemented AI agents in production. The most important thing is that you have a strong professional base in dbt and Snowflake, work in a structured way and have the desire to explore, test and translate new technological possibilities into durable solutions.

You are curious about new technologies, but you are also aware that new solutions must be robust, understandable and able to function in practice. You can both dive into technical problems and lift your gaze to the overall development process. You see opportunities for improvements and take the initiative to translate them into common standards, concrete tools and simpler workflows. You thrive in a team-oriented environment where people help each other and share knowledge.

At the same time you can work independently, take responsibility for your deliverables and drive technical improvements from idea and experiment to a solution that can be used safely and reliably.

We have asked three of your upcoming colleagues how they experience LB

We like each other, we want to help each other, and we are there for each other. That is how it should be to go to work. LB is a community you are part of – both in your own team and with all the others here. We spend many waking hours together, so it means everything that we have a sense of one another.

Our workplace has soul. There is a buzz and an atmosphere. It is such an open landscape, there is art and history everywhere, and something is done with our events. People take really good care of you as an employee. Everyone at LB says good morning to each other, and there is always someone to reach out to if you need anything.

I want to do something for those who do something for others.

We look forward to hearing from you
