About the job

Are you a biomedical analyst with a desire for variety, patient contact and a strong professional community? We are seeking two dedicated biomedical analysts for our team in Silkeborg. Both are permanent positions and in one position you have the opportunity to shape future biomedical analysts as a clinical supervisor.

Be part of something bigger

In Blood Samples and Biochemistry in Silkeborg we work with people – from start to finish. Some days you meet the patient face-to-face when taking blood samples in the outpatient clinic. Other days you travel to citizens in their own homes, at nursing homes or care centers with our mobile function. And on other days you again work in the laboratory, where your analysis results form the basis for diagnoses and treatment. Whatever you do, you can feel that your work makes a concrete difference for the individual person.

Blood Samples and Biochemistry covers the Regional Hospitals in Viborg, Silkeborg, Skive and Hammel Neurocenter, and we are a diagnostic partner with connections to the entire health system – from hospitals and general practice to municipalities and nursing homes. In Silkeborg we are a close team where professionalism, collaboration and a good tone go hand in hand. We have high ceilings, room for diversity and a culture where shared leadership is more than a word – it is something we practice in everyday life.

Our department in Silkeborg is staffed on all weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., which provides a predictable day without night and weekend shifts. You have the opportunity to indicate which shifts suit you within a 15-week shift cycle – so you can plan your life outside work.

Your tasks

As a biomedical analyst with us you get a broad and varied daily life

  • Blood sampling and ECG for children and adults – primarily in the outpatient clinic and for a few samples on wards
  • Mobile function with blood sampling and ECG for citizens in their own homes, at nursing homes, care centers and similar
  • Analytical work on modern, fully automated laboratory equipment, where you operate all equipment across biochemistry, haematology, coagulation and blood typing serology

In Silkeborg you are not tied to one discipline – you master the whole palette. It provides a varied workday where you constantly keep your professional standards sharp across disciplines.

Opportunity for role as clinical supervisor

One of the two positions contains an exciting possibility: a fixed-term role of four years as a clinical supervisor. Here, together with our biomedical analyst teacher, you will be responsible for receiving and mentoring biomedical analyst students in their clinical training. You will be the one who builds the bridge between theory and practice, and who helps the students find a footing in a clinical everyday life.

The role does not require prior supervisor experience; it requires that you are passionate about teaching, patient, patient and can enjoy seeing others grow professionally. If you have that spark, we will support you with the tools and the education you need.

About you

You have authorization as a biomedical analyst and enjoy the direct patient contact that makes our profession so meaningful. You are service-oriented and quality-conscious, and you can keep an overview. You thrive with varied tasks and switching between outpatient, mobile service and laboratory work, and you are motivated by being able to master many different functions. You are reliable and punctual because you know your colleagues and patients depend on your being there.

Since mobile service is part of everyday life, we prefer applicants with a driving license. Most of all you are a person who values good community and contributes to it with a positive attitude and preferably a sense of humor. If you are newly qualified or finishing early 2027, you are also very welcome to apply – the most important is your enthusiasm to learn and your willingness to make an effort.

What we offer you

  • Personal mentoring program and individual onboarding, so you get a safe and thorough start – regardless of experience level
  • Attractive working hours with coverage from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and the possibility to request shifts in a 15-week shift cycle
  • A strong professional environment with dedicated colleagues who share knowledge, develop the specialty and dare to try new solutions

You will become part of a colleague group with broad age distribution and many different interests, who look forward to welcoming you. We are specialists in blood tests – but first and foremost we work with people. And we need you to continue that story.

We look forward to reading your application.
