About the job

Do you want to make a difference and become wiser about how citizens with severe brain injury are best supported? Then you are the one we are missing in our team of substitute colleagues. With us you are not only a “temporary worker”, but indispensable and an important part of the staff group. Due to the intake of several new residents you now have the opportunity to become part of a wonderful residential facility where social and health-related interventions are given high priority while we focus on the good multidisciplinary collaboration in supporting the residents’ mastery of their own life.

Who are we?

Boligerne Lene Bredahls gade is a residential facility for younger brain-injured people, where 24 residents live in their own apartments with a need for support around the clock. Attached to the 24/7 section is also an activity and social program used by both internal and external users. As a substitute colleague, the hours will be in the common area.

Because the residents are characterized by physical and cognitive functional limitations that require extensive help and support with all practical tasks in daily life, the support for mastery of one’s own life is based on providing the best multidisciplinary support around the clock in a close relationship in all everyday elements. You will become a colleague to health professionals, pedagogical professionals and therapeutic professionals, and you will meet students, trainees and other skilled substitute colleagues.

You will experience that thoughtfulness, professionalism, integrity, visible leadership and collaboration will shine through in daily life around the residents.

We want to provide the best possible introduction tailored to your competences, so we can create the best conditions for supporting the residents in the good life. Your introduction days will be half observation and half practical hands-on, as we experience this gives the best learning.

Your tasks will include

  • Collaboration with residents regarding mastery of their own life
  • Provide support and practical help to carry out ADL tasks for residents together with your colleagues, including practical help with personal hygiene
  • Take the opportunity to create small star moments together with the residents
  • Support the residents’ §141 action plan (My life My Plan)
  • Support health-related initiatives in collaboration with health-care colleagues.
  • Participate together with the residents in the house’s many social activities.

We are looking for you who

  • Wants to be a close part of the residents’ daily life with a desire to participate in the actual task execution with daily care, social and health-professional input and practical help
  • Can start as soon as possible
  • Primarily wishes to work weekends either day shift or evening shift.
  • Identifies with a “we” and can collaborate multidisciplinary.
  • Can maintain an overview when there are several balls in the air.
  • Has experience with acquired brain injury or wants to expand your competencies

You will become part of a workplace that offers

  • Hourly paid employment with the possibility of ongoing weekend rotation.
  • Opportunity for extra shifts on weekdays, holidays and public holidays as needed.
  • An exciting and varied job with many skilled and engaged colleagues who put residents’ well-being at the forefront
  • A lively and social house with many activities.
  • A workplace where good communication and well-being are in focus
  • A house where residents and colleagues value the good laughs and look after each other.
