An skilled and academically grounded mathematics teacher – preferably with either music or science/tech in your repertoire. You should also be willing to take on the role of class teacher in the primary school years.

About Balleskolen

Balleskolen is centrally located in Balle in the northwestern part of Silkeborg, about two kilometres northwest of Silkeborg centre.

Balleskolen is a three-stream school with about 650 pupils spread across 0.-9th grade with an attached after-school program (SFO) and club. The school has about 75 ambitious and academically strong staff. In the coming years the pupil numbers at Balleskolen will grow considerably, and the school092s physical facilities must be geared to receive many new children. The school will eventually be 4-stream in the primary and middle years and 3-stream in the upper years.

Balleskolen is built as an open-plan school, where the classes across year groups cooperate closely and where pupils are often in mixed-age groups in teaching. This organization provides some exciting pedagogical and didactic possibilities. You plan and implement your teaching in close collaboration with your colleagues, and it is our experience that close collaboration strengthens both security and quality for pupils and teachers.

The school has good indoor and outdoor spaces which are naturally used after the school day by the area 2s children and adults.

The school is part of a nationwide project on character formation. Character formation is one of the things the Wellbeing Commission points to in their report on strengthening wellbeing for children and young people, and we see it as an important element in the daily pedagogical work for everyone at the school.
