Who are we?
Store Heddinge School is a school with strong values, high ambitions and a shared belief that all children do their best. We work from a common view of children, where we meet children with curiosity, respect and positive expectations. With us, students are not "yours" or "mine". They are our children , and we share responsibility for their learning, well-being and development.
We believe that words leave traces , and we are focused on how our communication, actions and expectations affect children, staff and parents.
At the same time, we are in the midst of an exciting development, where we deliberately work to strengthen participation opportunities for all children through inclusive learning communities, professional learning communities and strong collaborations.
The position
As vice principal you will have the overall leadership responsibility for 0th–5th grade. You will lead a committed staff group of teachers and pedagogues, and you will play an important role in creating direction, coherence and development across grades and subject areas.

- Ensure high quality in teaching and pedagogical practice
- Be close to staff through sparring, feedback and follow-up
- Support the development of strong professional learning communities
- Drive the school's development initiatives in close collaboration with management and staff
- Contribute to a clear and well-functioning school operation
- Strengthen collaboration with parents and external partners
You will be an important driving force in working with
- Participation opportunities for all children
- Development of inclusive learning communities
- Establishment and further development of more middle forms at the school
- The school’s strength and work with strong child communities
- Parallel teaching and flexible learning environments
- Data-informed practice and joint reflection on students’ learning and well-being
- A culture characterized by collaboration, shared responsibility and professional curiosity
We are looking for a leader who
- Is clear, authentic and trust-building
- Has strong relational competences
- Can create followership and inspire staff toward shared development
- Has experience with personnel management and pedagogical leadership
- Is structured and can translate visions into action
- Is visible in daily life and cares about the school’s core mission
- Believes in the value of community, collaboration and involvement
- Can balance operations and development
- Has the courage to make decisions and the ability to listen
We imagine that you have experience from the school world and preferably a leadership education or ambitions to pursue one.
We offer
- An ambitious school with a strong value base
- Skilled and engaged staff
- A close and well-functioning leadership team
- Opportunity to make a significant mark on the school’s development
- An organization with space, humor and joy in work
- A daily life where there is focus on both people, results and community
We hope that you are the leader who
- Can set a clear direction without leading alone
- Believes that the best solutions are created together
- Sees potential rather than limitations
- Has your heart in the work with children, staff and parents
If you want to help create a school where all children feel they belong, can learn and can succeed, we look forward to hearing from you.
