There was once a children's house, where laughter echoed between the walls, and little feet left traces in both the sandbox and hearts.

A place where children and adults meet every day to explore the world – together. This place is called Børnehuset Bækkegården.

As in all good fairy tales, the story is never quite finished. It grows, changes and gains new chapters. Our one nursery group is moving from being a community of 8 children aged 0-2 years to 12 children here over the autumn/winter. Therefore, we will be missing an adult in our next chapter, who together with us will be co-creators of Bækkegården's continued adventure.

We are looking for you – an educator with courage, warmth and a desire to be part of the next chapter.

We have room for you who love being close to the magical everyday moments. You who find great value in caring for the individual child, and who rejoice when the child makes their first experiences with feeding themselves. With us we gather around the peek-a-boo, rolling balls and the stacking tower that tumbles with joyful energy again and again and again. This is where we feel our professional pride in working with the youngest nursery children. We hope you feel the same.

We are a community of children and adults who every day continue to write our shared adventure. An adventure full of play, safety and exploration. Here, play is not only the children's; it is also ours. We take pride in taking responsibility for both free play and adult-supported play. Sometimes we go ahead and show the way, other times we walk beside, and sometimes we lovingly support from behind, depending on what the moment calls for.

We know that children's relationships, courage and engagement arise and develop in the safe and exploratory everyday life we create with and for them, and we know that our presence makes a difference.

At the heart of our adventure are the relationships. Creating safety is not by chance – it's a craft. It can be felt in the way we speak, in our gaze, in our body language and in our ability to understand what the children do not always have words for. Therefore we hope that you have a strong play-instinct, a contagious smile, and hands that can both invite to play and give a long, calm hug when the world becomes a little too big.

For even in the most beautiful adventures there are moments that call for courage. Days when things do not go as planned. Here we believe that you grow by daring – and that mistakes are part of the path. At Bækkegården you are never alone. When one stumbles, there is always a colleague who extends a hand. We lift as a group, learn from each other and move together toward common goals.

But as everyone knows, a fairy tale cannot be fully understood through words alone. It must be experienced. Felt. Lived.
