Come Work for Us

We are busy and therefore looking for another colleague for our Design Team, which is part of Customer Care. Are you motivated by translating customers' wishes into creative and production-ready design solutions, coordinating projects and delivering world-class service? If you also want to become part of a strong community where colleagues nearly become your second family, then you might be our new Designer.

We work in teams consisting of project coordinators, designers, technical designers, and salespeople who work closely together to deliver service of the highest standard. Competition is tough, so service is an important parameter for the customer and thus also for Ege Carpets. In the team we know each other’s projects and provide coverage for each other during holidays and other absences.

Design

As a Designer at Ege Carpets you support projects in the development and order phase and help ensure high quality, efficient progress and the best possible solution for the customer. You develop designs for wall-to-wall carpets, tiles and rugs, work with recoloring, production prints, samples and approvals, and prepare 3D visualizations, etc. You also participate in project and customer meetings, where you, on equal footing with the salesperson, contribute professional advice and help clarify the customer’s needs,

In other words, you play an important role from the first design concept to the order being in house, produced and installation completed successfully.

Your main tasks

• provide professional design support throughout the design phase—from design development and recoloring to production materials, samples, visualizations and approvals
• take ownership of your own project tasks, proactively follow up and ensure clear communication and timely escalation of risks or delays
• advise customers on suitable carpet solutions and suggest relevant alternatives to achieve a better result
• work closely with project coordinators, designers, technical designers, quality, production, sales, product development and marketing – both in Denmark and internationally
• share inspiration, knowledge and best practices with colleagues globally and participate in relevant customer and partner visits
• professionally greet guests at our factories and contribute to tours and presentations
• challenge existing ways of working and be curious about new methods, market insights and software solutions
• solve ad-hoc and project tasks flexibly and professionally.

At Ege Carpets we produce quality and design carpets for the whole world in offices, hotels and marine. We have headquarters and production in Herning, Gram and Røjle as well as a wool spinning mill in Lithuania.

Our values We build trust ● We dare to challenge ● We create value ● We succeed together.

To reach our strategic goals we must succeed together. We do this by building trust and challenging ourselves and our processes, thereby creating value for each other and for Ege. We know and contribute to the values individually. They are important to us and to our future colleagues.

Are you the right one?

You have a relevant education in design and preferably several years of experience in a similar role in an international and customer-oriented organization. You work independently, take responsibility and see your tasks through to the end. At the same time you are a team player who shares knowledge and contributes to a strong One Team culture across functions and countries.

• You have strong skills in Photoshop, other Adobe tools, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and relevant industry-specific systems (Sketch 2 or NedGraphics Texcelle)
• You are quality-conscious and detail-oriented – both in design work, documentation and project follow-up
• You can coordinate projects in a structured way, keep an overview and ensure that agreements and deadlines are followed
• You communicate clearly and professionally with customers, colleagues and partners across cultures and disciplines
• You speak and write Danish and English fluently. If you know other languages, that is an advantage but not a requirement
• You are curious, solution-oriented and dare to challenge habits and suggest new opportunities
• You are flexible and thrive with changing priorities, international projects and relevant travel
• You meet customers and tasks with a positive mindset
• You preferably have a degree from one of the Danish design schools

We offer, among other things

• An exciting and challenging position in a company where values and collaboration are in focus.
• Opportunity for personal and professional development
• A dynamic working environment with good colleagues and a strong team spirit
• Contractual terms in line with collective agreements
• Ege Fitness center
• Nice canteen and possibility to buy take-away
