Development consultant with strong skills in Power BI and statistics

Do you translate data into insights, develop reports that are used, and create smarter workflows?

In Economics and Payroll in Frederikshavn Municipality we are looking for a development consultant who can combine strong skills in Power BI and statistics with the desire to develop our tasks and work processes.

You will take a central role in the development of data-driven management information and join us in creating solutions that give managers and employees a better basis for making decisions. At the same time you will help optimize, digitalize and automate administrative workflows and the overall financial governance setup in the municipality.

Your main tasks

You will among other things

• work with data modeling
• Develop the controller function's financial governance basis
• collect, collate and quality-assure data from different sources
• prepare statistical analyses, forecasts, key figures and decision-making basis
• conduct, among other things, activity, capacity, population and resource analyses
• identify opportunities for digitalization and automation
• develop, maintain and improve reports and dashboards in Power BI

The position gives you the opportunity to both dive into data and work closely with colleagues and managers across the municipality. You follow the solutions from the initial idea and needs assessment to the finished solution being put into use.

Tasks may, for example, include analyses where working time, absence, activities, capacity, resource needs and financial consequences must be viewed in context.

• have good competences in statistics, methods and data analysis
• can translate complex data into clear messages and user-friendly solutions
• have an eye for both the technical solution and the underlying needs
• are interested in development, process optimization and automation
• thrive in collaboration with different professional disciplines.

You do not need to know it all at once. The most important is that you are strong in Power BI, have solid statistical competencies and are passionate about developing solutions that work in practice.

You have a relevant higher education degree in, for example, statistics, data analysis, economics, social sciences and the like.

Practical information

The position is a permanent full-time role at 37 hours with work location at Frederikshavn Town Hall, Rådhus Allé 100, 9900 Frederikshavn.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement, and more information will be provided in connection with the interviews. Interviews will be held on 26 October 2026.

Start date by agreement but preferably as soon as possible.
